Nirvana covered three songs from the album Meat Puppets II on MTV Unplugged playing with the Meat Puppets. This exposure helped the Meat Puppet's 1994 album, Too High to Die, to go gold.

Guitarist Bernard Albrecht and bassist Peter Hook met at the first Sex Pistols show in 1977 and formed a band called the Stiff Kittens; after placing an ad through a Manchester record store, they added vocalist Ian Curtis and drummer Steve Brotherdale. They later changed their name to Warsaw (from David Bowie's "Warszawa") before eventually naming themselves Joy Division www.allmusic.com
