The War on Drugs will continue their tour through the foreseeable future (no Seattle date)- it is assumed that Mark Kozelek will appear to heckle. The band's last record, Lost In The Dream, was KEXP listeners' album of the year.

Sin Fang's Flowers LP was released back in 2013 on Morr Music. The Icelandic artist played a set on KEXP in early 2014, supported by fellow Icelandic artist Hermigervill- blog.kexp.org.
Founded in 1993, Starflyer 59 have released thirteen albums since their formation. The band once featured a young Richard Swift, now primarily known for producer of Damien Jurado, The Shins, Stereolab, etc. He is also a part of The Black Keys.
If one Googles "Rivers Cuomo," a picture of Fred Armisen appears. Coincidence? Probably. "Weezer" was Cuomo's childhood nickname, given to him by his father. Cuomo enrolled at Harvard shortly after the release of this LP. He was part of a frat.

The (also so good) new Destroyer track will appear on Dan Bejar's new LP, Poison Season, out August 28th. This is Bejar's first release under the Destroyer moniker since his Five Spanish Songs LP in 2013. He will be at The Neptune on October 16th.
Bowie's Diamond Dogs is a concept album combining the imagery of George Orwell's 1984 and Bowie's own vision of a post-apocalyptic world. The original cover of Diamond Dogs featured David Bowie's genitalia, which was airbrushed from later releases.
NME said Kid Wave sounds like "Lush on Diazepam," which is simultaneously reductive and completely spot-on. Kudos, NME. The band's new LP, Wonderlust, was released in early June.
School of Fish's sophomore LP, Human Cannonball was not as commercially successful as their self-titled debut, leading to the band's 1994 break-up. Band members went on to join forces with Ben Harper & The Wallflowers, among others.
Crocodiles frontman Brandon Welchez is married to Dum Dum Girls frontwoman Dee Dee Penny. Maybe he knows her real name. Crocodiles' fifth LP, Boys, came out back in May.
Jim Noir (aka Alan Roberts)'s name is an homage to british stand-up comic Jim Moir (yes, really). This track comes from his sophomore effort, titled Jim Noir. It was released back in 2008.

Suede's debut album was at the time the fastest-selling debut in UK history, selling 100,000 copies in its first week. It spent 22 weeks in the Top 40 Charts. The LP went on to win the 1993 Mercury Music Prize.

Bob Dylan's Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid LP was the soundtrack for the 1973 Sam Peckinpah western of the same name. The theatrical version was re-cut by the studio, leading to a cast-wide revolt. The Peckinpah cut was later released on home video.
Interpol's debut album, Turn On the Bright Lights, was certified Gold by the RIAA ten years after its release. It remains the band's most commercially successful album, despite only reaching No. 158 on the Billboard Charts.

The Radio Dept.'s new EP, titled Occupied, is their first release since 2010's Clinging to a Scheme LP. The Swedish dream-pop trio had three songs from their debut album used in the great Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette.
"Reverence" was the first single from The Jesus & Mary Chain's Honey's Dead LP. It was banned from Top of the Pops for lyrics referencing the deaths of Jesus & JFK. Predictably, it reached No. 10 on the UK Charts.
