Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees has provided vocals for a new project called Ten Commandos. They feature Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as well as members of Queens of the Stone Age, and OFF!. Their debut album will be released next month. A collaboration between Natasha Khan of Bat For Lashes, the group TOY, and Dan Carey. The six tracks here are all covers, versions of songs that Khan and Carey picked up while on jaunts to places such as Morocco, Thailand and Iran. The lyrics have been translated, and the songs recorded live in a single session.
