Fun Fact: Damon Gough (Badly Drawn Boy) chose his stage name from the title character in the show Sam and his Magic Ball, which he saw on TV at a party in 1995. Before he thought of using this name he made some business cards, each one unique, with a printed picture of a drawing by his nephew.
Originally by Bob Dylan on his 1970 New Morning release, Dylan first recorded the song in a session with George Harrison on May 1 of that same year. A month after Dylan released "If Not For You", Harrison released his version on All Things Must Pass.

According to an interview with Stereogum, lead singer Amelia Meath said that "H.S.K.T." is about Miley Cyrus. She states, "This was originally written about Miley Cyrus. I wrote it the day that the MTV Music Awards performance aired. I was imagining that she was navigating her sexuality in front of America, experimenting with it." In the live version of "Mansion on the Hill" from Shoreline Amphitheatre '86, Springsteen mentions that the song is about when he was a kid and his father used to drive them out to this old house on the outside of town that felt really distant to Bruce. "My father was always transfixed by money," Bruce explained. "He used to drive out of town and look at this big white house. It became a kind of touchstone for me. Now, when I dream, sometimes I'm on the outside looking in – and sometimes I'm the man on the inside."

The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy was formed in 1990 by Michael Franti and Rono Tse, who had been in the Beatnigs. The band's name was derived in part from the phrase "The Disposable Heroes of Hypocrisy", used in some Socialist literature.

"Kiss" started as a short acoustic demconsisting of a single 12-bar blues verse. Prince gave the song to the funk band Mazarati for their debut album. Mazarati and producer David Z drastically reworked the song, giving it its stripped-down minimalist sound. When Mazarati delivered the song to Prince, he was amazed at their work and decided to take back the song for himself.
