On many reviewers' lists as The Beatles best song, "A Day in the Life". It comprises distinct sections written independently by Lennon and McCartney. The first two verses of Lennon's lyrics inspired by the death Tara Browne, the 21-year-old heir to the Guinness fortune who had crashed his Lotus Elano in December 1966. Earlier that year Browne had turned McCartney on to LSD for the first time.

South was an English band that formed in 1998. They had some pretty good mentors to help them out in the biz - ex-Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown and UNKLE's James Lavelle, who signed the band to his personal record label.

Middle Kids are an Aussie trio and the members are Hannah and Harry (two classically trained musicians) and Tim. Their debut EP was recorded in their house and it's due out this fall with US dates booked for later this year (not yet announced)

Freedy grew up Kinsley, KS, (pop. 1,658 2009). He had a lot of interest in music when he was a kid, but there were no record shops or music stores in his hometown. When he was sixteen, he bought his first guitar from a mail order catalog, and at 17, had a friend drive him 35 miles to the closest record store to buy an Elvis Costello album he had read about.
