Dreamin' Man Live '92 features live, solo acoustic performances of all ten songs from Harvest Moon, recorded on Neil Young's tour in 1992. "Harvest Moon" was recorded at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on September 21st, 1992.
Recorded at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, 'Acoustic at the Ryman' features live acoustic versions of ten songs across Band of Horse's catalog. The two-night gig at the Ryman took place in April 2013. Check out KEXP's version of this track from their live session with us: www.youtube.com
"Before The Dawn" was recorded during an incredible run of 22 sold-out shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo in 2014 (her first live shows since 1979!).
"Everything Counts" is a 1983 single from the album "Construction Time Again" and re-released as a live version in 1989 on "101". "101" is a live album and documentary detailing the tail end of the band's 1987/1988 "Music for the Masses" Tour.

Bob Marley may have written the melody of "No Woman, No Cry" but songwriter credits were given to Vincent Ford, a friend of Marley's who ran a soup kitchen in Trenchtown, the ghetto of Kingston, Jamaica where Marley grew up. The royalty payments received by Ford ensured the survival and continual running of his soup kitchen.
Twin Limb are currently on tour with My Morning Jacket’s Jim James as his backing band. On tour, Twin Limb has been performing a cover of the Mazzy Star classic “Fade Into You” alongside James and his MMJ bandmate Bo Koster. Here's live video of the cover here...www.youtube.com

Jane's Addiction released their live self-titled in 1987. Its basic tracks were recorded live at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on January 26, 1987, with additional overdubs and corrections recorded at The Edge Studio in Los Angeles. An audience applause dub from a Los Lobos concert was overlayed onto the final mix. (Sorry if that bums ya out)

Earlier this year, Lykki Li formed new supergroup, LIV featuring producer Jeff Bhasker, Miike Snow members Andrew Wyatt and Pontus Winnberg, and Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John. They dropped their single, "Dream Awake" last month.
Minor Victories are a super group that formed last year and include vocalist Rachel Goswell of Slowdive, guitarists Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai, and Justin Lockey of Editors, and film-maker James Lockey of Hand Held Cine Club. The self-titled debut also includes guest appearances from Mark Kozelek of Sun Kil Moon and James Graham of The Twilight Sad.
Montreal duo, Majical Cloudz consisted of singer-songwriter Devon Welsh and producer Matthew Otto. 'Are You Alone?' was released in 2015 and is the final album for the group who announced in March of this year that they were parting ways.

"L.E.S. Artistes" (which stands for Lower East Side Artists) was written after Santi White (a.k.a. Santigold) moved to New York City. In an interview with PopJustice, Santi details the track from her debut, saying the song "is playing on the fact that everyone tries to make things fancy and it's really pretentious".

Sylvan Esso was not meant to be a band. Amelia Meath had written a song called “Play It Right” and sung it with her trio Mountain Man. She eventually met Nick Sanborn, an electronic producer known as Made of Oak, in passing on a shared bill in a small club somewhere. Ty Segall is set to release a new record in January and recently dropped some background on his new single: "This is a love song for my girlfriend, Denée. I’ve written her many, but I think this is my favorite. I travel around the world for a living and have developed a slight fear of flying. She’s one of the things that makes it better for me to travel."
XO is the fourth full-length solo record released in 1998 from the late Elliott Smith.
"Candy" lives on Iggy Pop's ninth solo album, Brick by Brick released in 1990. The song is a duet with Kate Pierson of The B-52's. According to an interview, the lyrics refer to his teenage girlfriend, Betsy. Pop said: "I was looking back on my relationship with her, and I thought 'Let's be fair. Let the girl have her say.' I wanted a girl who would sing with a small-town voice, and Kate has a little twang in her voice that sounds slightly rural and naive."
New track from Jenn Grant! Her sixth album will land on March 3rd. Of the song, "Galaxies" she says, “I decided to approach singing more like a whisper, to try and get a feel for its softness. I wanted to feel the power in that.”

Júníus Meyvant is the alias of Icelandic singer-songwriter Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson. When he was younger, he was suspended from music school and didn't touch an instrument until his early 20s. We are glad he did and gave the world, "Floating Harmonies" this year.

I hope the snow doesn't cause any power outages. PJ Harvey's "Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea" was released in 2000 and is PJ's fifth full-length.
Earwig began in vocalist/guitarist Lizard McGee's garage in Columbus, OH in 1992 and are now releasing their sixth full-length, 'Pause for the Jets' this past October.
"Walters" tells the story of Lawrence Walters a.k.a. "Lawn Chair Larry" who desperately wanted to fly (but due to bad eyesight, couldn't get his license) so he attached weather balloons to his chair and brought a pellet gun with him to shoot the balloons when he needed to hasten his descent. He'd hoped to rise 100 feet, but instead soared to about 16,000 feet, which quickly attracted the attention of the authorities. He was able to shoot himself down, but he landed on a power line, causing a 20-minute blackout in a Long Beach neighborhood.
Will Sheff describes the album in a 2005 interview:
"The Black Sheep Boy is a fantastical character that crops up here and there on the album. In the lyrics pretty much anything in quotes is the voice of the Black Sheep Boy. I think a lot of the dirtier, rougher, more obtuse songs are the product of the Black Sheep Boy."
Good Morning! (What's the Story) Morning Glory was released in October of 1995. The band recorded the album quickly: early on, averaging almost one song every twenty-four hours. However, tension brewed between songwriter Noel Gallagher and his brother, lead singer Liam, when Noel wanted to sing lead vocals on either "Wonderwall" or "Don't Look Back in Anger".The issue was quickly resolved when Noel was pleased with Liam's vocal take of "Wonderwall".
"Monkey Gone to Heaven" was the first Pixies song to feature guest musicians: two cellists, Arthur Fiacco and Ann Rorich, and two violinists, Karen Karlsrud and Corine Metter.
