Slowdive frontman Neil Halstead says, “When the band decided to get back together in 2014, we really wanted to make new music. It’s taken us a whole load of shows and a few false starts to get to that point, but it’s with pride and a certain trepidation we unleash ‘Star Roving.’ It’s part of a bunch of new tracks we’ve been working on and it feels as fun, and as relevant playing together now as it did when we first started. We hope folks enjoy it.” And while there’s no release date nor title yet, Dead Oceans will be releasing their next LP. Read up on the release here: www.undertheradarmag.com

Wayne Coyne and Moby sing the choruses together, and then go back and forth on the verses. Moby told Rolling Stone: "Wayne and I first met in 1995, when the Flaming Lips and I were both opening up for a Red Hot Chili Peppers' European tour. We became friends, shared a dressing room and the same bad craft services, and watched the Chili Peppers from the side of the stage. I thought of Wayne for this song because the Flaming Lips have evolved in this very open, celebratory band when they play live, and that was the perfect vibe for what I was imagining for 'The Perfect Life.' I texted Wayne and said, 'Hey, I have a song – want to sing on it?' Thirty seconds later, he texted me back: 'Yes, send it to me, it will be great.'" Crows: "'The Itch' is about a feeling, one that most people will have experienced at some point, a feeling of wanting to be rid of something or someone but with an inability to let it go. Written by L7 frontwoman Donita Sparks, this song is a call to action, making the point that doing nothing is exactly what the powers-that-be want from their opposition. What was the band fighting for? For one thing, the war in Iraq (which they cover in another Bricks Are Heavy track, "Wargasm"), but also reproductive rights.

Noel Gallagher told NME May 11, 2013 how this was inspired by a Nirvana B-side. "It was written in the middle of grunge," he explained, "and Nirvana had a tune called 'I Hate Myself And I Want To Die.' I was like, 'I'm not f--king having that,' Kids don't need to hear that nonsense. Here was a guy who had everything and was miserable about it. We had f--k all, and I still thought getting up in the morning was the greatest f--king ever."

Lytle on getting in the right frame of mind to write Grandaddy songs: "It was kind of a cool exercise for me to really think of these as being Grandaddy songs. And without watering them down or being true to instinct, I'd think, 'So if this is a Grandaddy song, what should it do right here?' It was kind of a fun exercise, going into that mode. And to tell the truth, over the years I've had the opportunity to listen to a lot of people's input and get suggestions, and even having casual conversations with friends of mine about what Grandaddy was to them, and most of the time when they're telling me this stuff, it's like some of the stuff I knew and some of it was like, 'Whoa, I had no idea.' Just the little things that ended up being like Grandaddy elements."

According to Thom Yorke, "Kid A" is his vision of the first cloned baby. The song is about technology - both the possibilities and dangers. Much of the Kid A album, questions what it means to be a human being in the context in which every relationship is mediated by technology and technical rationality.

LOYAL talked about this single... “Moving As One” isn’t about nostalgia, questioning a love or hoping there’s something better ahead (unlike our first two more conscious records) This is about the moment, fearlessness and raw emotion. Think of this as the scream not thinking about having a good old scream or worrying after you’ve done it just the actual scream!!!
