According to Ride's guitarist, Andy Bell, out of all the new songs they are recording for their new release - “Home Is A Feeling” comes closest to the early Ride sound. We felt comfortable going vintage on this tune because the album we are making has a pretty broad sonic scope. John "J." Geils, the leader of the J. Geils Band, was found dead in his home in Massachusetts yesterday. Police concluded he died of natural causes. They formed in ("Wuh-stuh") Worcester, Massachusetts, under the leadership of the guitarist in 1968. Starting with their self-titled debut in 1970, the band featuring singer Peter Wolf released 11 studio albums including 1981's Freeze Frame featuring their #1 hit, "Centerfold." Band leader John "J." Geils was 71.
