Rachel Goswell of Slowdive graced us with an exclusive interview shortly before the release of their self-titled 2017 album, which was the band’s first new music in 22 years. "One Way to Go" is the 1992 b-side for "All in the Mind," which was this British band's first single. Their global breakthrough though would come in 1997 with the chart-topping hit, "Bittersweet Symphony"

The Stargazer Lilies are Pennsylvania-based shoegaze duo Kim Field and John Cep, formerly of the band Soundpool. A future release is claimed to be "coming soon," keep up with them here: bit.ly

Taking their name from a Simple Minds song, the Cocteau Twins were founded in Scotland in 1979. Blue Bell Knoll is their fifth studio album, and the first they recorded in their own studio.

Formed by brother and sister Jim and Alison Shaw in 1988, other members Mark Francombe and Matt Cope would join the band a couple years later. Robert Smith himself picked Cranes to open for the Cure's world tour in 1992

This U.K. band’s marriage of electronic sounds, shoegazey guitars and seductive vocals would find greater mainstream success with U.S-based group Garbage in the mid 90’s, but Curve were paving the way early on. They disbanded in 2005, but their website states their current status as “Still alive:” www.curve.co.uk

Chapterhouse was formed in Reading, England by drummer Ashley Bates, bassist Jon Curtis, guitarist Simon Rowe, and vocalists/guitarists Stephen Patman and Andrew Sherriff in 1987. This single from their debut album features background vocals from Slowdive's Rachel Goswell

Hailing from Boston, the Drop Nineteens ended up with a larger following in shoegaze-heavy England in the early 90's. Delaware is their debut album, released in 1992.

Soft Science is apparently a line of comfortable men's walking shoes. WHICH IS WEIRD because it's also a SHOEgaze band with comfortable sounds based out of Sacramento! bit.ly

This fourth LP from shoegaze pioneers, The Jesus and the Mary Chain, featured Monti from Curve as the live drummer on most tracks. Should probably come as no surprise that "Reverence" was banned from Top of the Pops due to the lyrics, "I want to die just like Jesus Christ" and "I want to die just like JFK"

Catherine Wheel was either a British shoegaze band active during the 90’s, or one of medieval Europe’s most widely used torture devices. (The band version is thankfully not a torture)
