Spiritualized announced yesterday that their first new album in six years - 'And Nothing Hurt' - drops September 7th. Previously, Spiritualized’s Jason Pierce said that this is the band’s final album and yesterday he said “I was quite sincere about that and I still feel like it might be the case. It was such hard work. I found myself going crazy for so long. It’s not like there’s no coming back, I’m fine now… it’s just such a hard thing to do, to make a record like this on your own.”
'Club Anthems' is a compilation album collecting songs released on Ballboy's first three EPs, 'Silver Suits for Astronauts', 'I Hate Scotland', and 'Girls Are Better Than Boys'. Pick it up, they're Scottish, it's not crap!

This track is off their ninth studio album (they've released 15). The title of the album is likely derived from a Sun Ra quote: "...At first there was nothing...then nothing turned itself inside-out and became something".
Boys isn't actually a band, it's 22-year-old Stockholm artist Nora Karlsson - of course an artist called Boys wouldn’t be made up of a band of boys – duh! buy it!

Philadelphian shoegazers Nothing have returned with "Zero Day," their first new single since 2016. Frontman Domenic Palermo was recently diagnosed with CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), a trauma-induced neurodegenerative disease that's usually in the news for its prevalence among former NFL players, and that has, apparently, influenced his lyrics.
After the success of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" the band and label debated about releasing "Come as You Are" or "In Bloom" as the next single from the album due to Cobain's concerns over similarity of the former with the Killing Joke song "Eighties" (1984). After some persuasion by the management company, Cobain agreed to release "Come as You Are" as the second single because of its commercial potential. Killing Joke were upset over the song, and there were rumors that a lawsuit had been filed over the song, though the suit never materialized.
