The book of love has music in it
In fact that's where music comes from
Some of it is just transcendental
Some of it is just really dumb

Before his passing, Anthony Bourdain wrote the following about the theme song to his TV show: "When I moved over to CNN and was looking for music for the opening title of Parts Unknown, I called Josh (Homme of QOTSA) with an idea for a song: something that started out filled with hope and wonder but segued ominously into darkness and dread. A “happy” song, like Joey Ramone’s version of “It’s a Wonderful World,” but more explicit in its anticipation of something … random … and awful. Josh responded with one word: “Lanegan.”
So that’s Josh Homme and Mark Lanegan who wrote and performed our title track, just in case you didn’t know."

Thanks for what you do for so many❤️"
From NPR Music: Last month, Bon Iver's Justin Vernon announced a collection of ambitious new collaborations with The National's Aaron Dessner, within a new band together called Big Red Machine --Dessner's brother Bryce has joined the duo in launching a music platform called PEOPLE and an August concert event in Berlin.
The announcement of PEOPLE's launch came with the release of four new Big Red Machine songs, each of which pairs Vernon's ambiguously beautiful words and voice with Dessner's busily unpredictable sound collages.

Our Lips Are Sealed" is a song written by The Go-Go's guitarist Jane Wiedlin and The Specials and Fun Boy Three singer Terry Hall.
It was first recorded by The Go-Go's as the opening track on their album Beauty and the Beat (1981) and was their debut American single in June 1981. The single eventually reached the top 5 in Australia and Canada, and the top 20 in the United States.
In 1983, Hall's band, Fun Boy Three, released their version of "Our Lips Are Sealed". Issued as a single, the track became a top ten hit in the UK, and remains the best known version of "Lips" in that country — the Go-Go's version, while a hit elsewhere, only made #47 in the UK.

Iggy Pop had this to say about the experience of working on the album: "When you are confronted with somebody who has a whole bloody studio there in the hotel room, a Skyped director who has won the Oscar recently, and a f**king microphone in front of you and 30 finished pieces of very polished music, you don’t want to be the wimp that goes 'Uh uhhh,' so my mind was racing."
