Last year, Yorke signed on to score the Luca Guadagnino's remake of the Seventies horror flick Suspiria. The original featured a bugged-out prog score by Goblin, the King Crimson of Italy. “It’s completely bonkers,” Yorke told Rolling Stone‘s Andy Greene, noting that following Goblin was “f*****ing hard work.”

Of it they singer/songwriter Jimmy Turner says "I really wanted to write songs that just sounded like a dream, or visuals/symbols,” adding that the record, named after the Florida neighborhood he grew up in, is literally “a fantasy story of my dreams and things I’ve seen or hear in the woods while I walk.”

Brooklyn duo Beacon say that their music is an exploration of “the dark side of sweet melody with a sound thats as seductive as it is subtly discomfiting (to make (someone) feel uneasy or embarrassed.”
The the title of the new album, Gravity Pairs, (out November 2nd via Ghostly International) was inspired by 20th-century scientific-mystic Walter Russell, whose idiosyncratic “new world-thought” writings and musically-informed schematic drawings were as fringe in their time as they are fascinating.

"Protection" is a collaboration between Massive Attack and Everything But the Girl singer Tracey Thorn. The song contains samples taken from "The Payback" by James Brown, namely the hi-hat/bass figure that drives the beat and the recurrent wah-wah guitar chord.

Emily Haines of Metric fame takes the haunting vocal lead in one of Broken Social Scene’s most popular songs. “Anthems For A Seventeen Year-Old Girl” is sung from the perspective of a woman looking back on her days as a fresh faced seventeen year-old.
"Mad World" has been covered by various artists, most notably by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules for the soundtrack of the film Donnie Darko in 2001. This version was a UK number one hit and won Orzabal his second Ivor Novello Award in 2003.
"Don't Dream It's Over" is a song by the Australian rock band Crowded House, recorded for their 1986 self-titled debut studio album. A song that meant a lot, to a lot of people.
World Party are a British musical group, which is essentially the solo project of its sole member, Karl Wallinger. He started the band in 1986 in London after leaving The Waterboys.

"Truganini" is a song from their album Earth and Sun and Moon. It was inspired by Truganini, a Tasmanian Aborigine. The single's liner notes included the claim that Truganini was the "sole surviving Tasmanian Aborigine" when she died. This sparked protest by some of the 7,000 people who identify as Tasmanian Aboriginal. Lead singer, Peter Garrett issued an apology.
