In 2006, the song was interpreted in a video titled "The Temptation of Victoria" by filmmaker Michael Shamberg, who had directed other notable music videos for the band, here revisiting a classic New Order song with the help of singer Victoria Bergsman of Swedish band The Concretes. The video, set to the song's 1987 re-recording, features a woman in France stealing a copy of the song's original 12-inch release from a record store and a bouquet from a flower shop, before placing both in her mostly empty apartment and dancing to the stolen record; once the record starts playing, the video shifts from black and white to full color, starting with the bouquet before quickly encompassing the whole area.

Richard Swift was a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who worked with the Black Keys, the Shins and many others before passing away at just 41. The story behind the song (as stated by Swift himself) goes: “A year and a half ago i broke my finger. Never got it back. This is a song I made a few days after getting the cast taken off.”
