Ellery James Roberts, part of the duo behind Lost Under Heaven, says, "With this song I present an alter ego. Creating this character of Bunny began with a performance piece I did back in Amsterdam. She became a playful tool to confront how male-dominated society attempts to control both women and nature without having any real understanding or respect for their being and innate power.” www.stereogum.com

A lot of the songs that I had been writing in 1991 led up to my next group, Sugar — and had it not been for Nevermind, I don't know if Sugar's 'Copper Blue' would have stood a chance in '92. But people were now receptive to this sound."

This song almost made it onto Wild Nothing's most recent album "Indigo". Jack Tatum says, "There were a number of songs that were kicking when I was finishing Indigo and “Blue Wings” was very nearly included. I had sent the album off to mastering, but the song didn’t sit right with me and I decided, at the last possible moment, to leave it off the album. It’s intentionally a very bittersweet sounding song... It’s a song about walking through to the other side of crippling self-doubt with the help of someone you love. It’s a reminder to myself not to let things spiral, hard as it may be at times." www.stereogum.com

When asked about this song in an interview Bill Callahan said, "I was approaching it like a love song to America. If you start by dating someone new, you don’t have to tell them about all the old relationships you had. And with your country, you have a past that you carry with you... America isn’t not yours, and a person isn’t yours. You share your country with other people, so it’s not a possession." Read more here: www.motherjones.com

She started the project after a foray into the Chicago comedy scene was stopped when she was "visited in a dream by pop princesses Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and dear departed high priestess Whitney Houston. The three divinities implored: pop was the pure plastic expression and cartoon catharsis for which Sir Babygirl was meant." Her debut album "Crush on Me" comes out February 15th.
Escort started as a studio project for Dan Balis and Eugene Cho who, "wanted to make records in the spirit of the old ones we were sampling." Along with Darius Maghen and Adeline Michèle, who make up the rest of the band, they "are very careful to make music that doesn't just sound and feel old, but is actually relevant for DJs and listeners today."

"Cherub Rock" was written by lead vocalist and guitarist Billy Corgan. The song was performed in standard tuning with an E octave played at the 7th fret, a technique achieved by recording the guitar solo to two different tapes which were then run simultaneously, with the speed of one tape slightly altered.
