The Cinematic Orchestra—the British electronic duo of Jason Swinscoe and Dominic Smith—have announced their first new studio album in 12 years: To Believe is the follow-up to 2007’s Ma Fleur. The new LP is out March 15 (via Domino/Ninja Tune). To Believe was mixed at New York’s Electric Lady Studios and includes contributions from Moses Sumney, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Tawiah, Roots Manuva and others.
This Gil Scott-Heron song is actually a cover of the original song "Me and The Devil Blues" by blues singer and guitarist Robert Johnson. It tells the story of the Devil coming to collect the narrator’s soul. Much speculation surrounds the meaning of this song, and most of it comes from the legend that Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil for the ability to play blues guitar.
