Released as a single in September 1983 and spent three weeks on the UK charts. Sustained demand for the track helped the single spend *101 weeks* (!) on the UK Indie Charts, a run that ranked fourth in the 1980s after three classic long-selling records: "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus (131 weeks), "Blue Monday" by New Order (186 weeks) and "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division (195 weeks).
From the band's 6th album, written while Perry and Gerrard were living far apart and writing music independently (Perry was living on an island in the middle of a river in Ireland, while Gerrard lived in Australia with her husband and daughter).

Beautiful new track from Kishi Bashi about the internment of Japanese Americans. Kishi Bashi says "this is a very important song for me in that it's the finale piece to the symphonic piece I premiered last year. It's a love story set in World War II, about falling in love in an incarceration camp and ultimately losing that love. The significance is that the idea of love, loss, and desire are consistent themes throughout history and help us to empathize with a people in a disconnected past." In INXS's official autobiography, INXS: Story to Story, Andrew Farriss said that the famous riff to the song appeared suddenly in his head while waiting for a cab to go to the airport to fly to Hong Kong. He asked the cab driver to wait a couple of minutes while he grabbed something from his motel room. In fact, he went up to record the riff and came back down an hour later with a tape to a very annoyed driver.
The National has announced the release of 'I Am Easy To Find’, a short film directed by Mike Mills starring Alicia Vikander, and ‘I Am Easy To Find’, their new album out May 17th on 4AD. Tina Weymouth explained in the liner notes of 'Once in a Lifetime: The Best of Talking Heads' that "Chris [Frantz, their drummer] had just been to see Parliament-Funkadelic in its full glory at Madison Square Garden, and he was really hyped. During the jam, he kept yelling 'Burn down the house!' which was a P-Funk audience chant, and David [Byrne] dug the line, changing it to the finished version, 'Burning down the house'."

The song also uses a harmonica sample from Ennio Morricone's The Man With The Harmonica (from the film Once Upon a Time in the West) . Alex Paterson also suggested that the drum track is sampled, saying “If anyone actually knew where the drums on 'Little Fluffy Clouds' came from, they'd all just die, but I'm not at liberty to tell." but later said the drum track was sampled from Harry Nilsson's album Nilsson Schmilsson, specifically a slowed-down version of "Jump Into the Fire". The track also includes a Lee "Scratch" Perry sample.

Catherine Wheel covering Scott Walker. Rob Dickinson once spoke about Walker: “I know some very aware musicians and very fine people who have never heard of him. He was a pretty well-kept secret. ‘Scott 3’ and ‘4’ were real works of a deviant musical mind.” The band and Walker shared a record label for a while in the 1990s, Fontana.
