Beck's bluesy recording of "True Love" is simply him alone, singing, playing harmonica and acoustic guitar. Sometimes the simplest recordings are the best.
Beck recorded "True Love" for a Johnston tribute album. It was released in September 2004 and also features the Flaming Lips and Tom Waits (among many others).

Elbow's new album "Giants of All Sizes" is set to drop on October 11th. “Empires” was one of the first songs Elbow recorded for Giants Of All Sizes. Here’s what keyboardist Craig Potter had to say about the recording process for the song and album in general: "We thought the studio would give us inner city vibes but we were on the edge of Hamburg which meant we spent more time in Clouds Hill rather than exploring. With time to spare, we sat around and played together in a way we haven’t for a long time and experimented and improvised with the music which led to the looser feel you hear on “Empires.”"
New album out in October! Here's the video, complete with a Black Bull, of course: www.youtube.com
Request for Holden on their way to school. James Murphy told The NME May 18, 2010: "This is the song I lost my voice trying to do. It's the highest song register I've sung... I'd vowed never to write anything that high for myself. But then I got excited about a synth sound and forgot all about my vocal range, and had to sing it with a voice that was blown out, but I took lots of steroids."
DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels collaborated on this track which features an interpolation of "Ol' Man River" by Caterina Valente from the 1927 musical "Showboat".
This is the first new studio music that the producer and DJ has released since his 2017 EP The Mountain Has Fallen, which was the appropriately titled sequel to his 2016 full-length The Mountain Will Fall. “Rocket Fuel” will also be included on an upcoming playlist for the Madden NFL 20 video game.
A sample from jazz musician Jimmy Smith's "Root Down (And Get It)", from his seminal album Root Down, serves as the basis for "Root Down". A small vocal sample from "Root Down" was later sampled on The Prodigy's 1997 track "Funky Shit".
