Why yes, that is Zach Galifianakis in the background of this video for this amazing song that first appeared in his movie Between Two Ferns. BTW, if you have not watched it yet, do so. So. Much. Funny. www.youtube.com
The band says Giants of All Sizes "is a record that lyrically takes in moments of deep personal loss whilst reflecting its times by confronting head-on the specters of injustice and division not just in the UK but across the world. It is a record that could only have been made in the 21st Century."
the band says, "Lyrically, there are resonances with what's going on in the world at the moment. I just feel like, what's the utility of being a musician these days, if you can't engage with at least some of this stuff? These songs are white flags, or they're SOSs, or they're cries for help... each in a different way."
You don't have to get out of bed. Hell, have the day off.

Tim writes "Good morning. Hanging with my bud, and 3yo daughter, Anna. We would like to hear the song where Sharon screams ' I know what you're gonna be!", that is, '17'."
Fran Healy came up with the song as he watched a swingbeat video on MTV, leading him to write a basic melody called "Swing" about children in a swing set. As he performed with the rest of the band, he changed the song to "Sing", making the lyrics about the healing powers of singing

Singer Krissy Vandewoude says “We all have someone in our lives who is our anchor, our light in the dark or calm in the storm. The person who feels like your safe place when everything is falling apart,” she says.
“When I have had sad, scary or uncertain times, it has been such a comfort to have someone I could trust, who was always there unconditionally for me. I envisioned their ‘angel wings’ being wrapped around me in a protective hug, and it was that visual which inspired the lyrics.”
For a 20-year mid-life crisis now entering old age.
"Had a blast making this video. We had some friends over for dinner and Joe Cardamone met Donal Logue there and they hit it off. When I later talked to Joe about directing a vid he immediately said 'Jimmy the Cab Driver.' I called Donal and he laughed for like 10 minutes and was totally into it. My head was pounding from laughing so hard the day of the shoot.

Hi John, can you please play “What do you want me to do” by Bob Mould? It helped to get me through the winter last year. Maybe it will help this year too. Also, maybe I’ve missed it, but do you have any favourites of the last decade?
Thanks,
Doug from Toronto

On working with the incredible Pharrell “He felt very strongly that spending a little time with me, that ‘You need to be doing singer-songwriter type of songs’. So that was more of the direction we went in. I really tried to be less ambitious on the production on these songs, like to let them be simple and let them breathe. Pharrell is a master minimalist.”
Brittney Parks, the songwriter and violinist who records as Sudan Archives pet snake Goldie appears in the video for “Glorious" and is also “kind of like the theme of the album,” she told the NY Times. “It’s like me — people are sometimes intimidated by me, just because of how I look. The album is about duality and also about being misinterpreted. People are afraid and they almost scream when they see him, but look how cute and shiny he is! He don’t want to hurt nobody.”
About er forthcoming LP, Miss_Anthropocene, (out February 21, 2020) Grimes says it will lean heavily on climate change-adjacent themes, from the perspective of… wait for it, a misanthropic demon."

Singer/songwriter Julia Steiner recalls a David Byrne lyric (Life Is Long
David Byrne, Brian Eno), “I’m lost, but I’m not afraid” as inspiration for the transformative outlook, considering the line a personal mantra while writing Ratboys’ third full-length record. “There’s definitely a lot of uncertainty about what’s next, but I like to think that, in the midst of creating a lot of vulnerability for ourselves, we’re confident and becoming more self-assured.”
In a Rolling Stone interview in 2009, Stipe said about his vocals: "It's like breathing - I don't think about it when I sing it. I was listening to these live tapes and thought it was a beautiful song with incredible imagery. I listen to our old albums and think, 'OK, this is where that went wrong, this is a way to improve that.' And 'Wow, that's really good. You're not the hoax you think you are.'"
