"Left of Center" was written by Suzanne Vega and Steve Addabbo, and released as part of the soundtrack to the 1986 film Pretty in Pink. That's Joe Jackson on piano. You can tell, um, cuz, it says so to the left of this note. #Science

Dear God, this song has tens of genres in it. Soul, rock, country, psych, hip hop. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!
"You're welcome." Boom, that just happened.
Good Morning,
My grandma Delores passed away yesterday morning. At 5 ft tall and a beast in both kitchen and garden, you doubted her at your own peril. She was the strongest woman I ever knew and yet I can't ever recall a bad word to come out of her mouth. She was sweet as they came, and I'm going to miss her terribly. She never was one to have the radio on; whistling old German songs instead. But boy, did she love Willie Nelson! I would love to hear some today if you get the chance. I don't think he will ever sound the same to me again.
Thank you
Danny
This is Willie Nelson's 75th album. His first album was released on rock on Zog Records in 45,000 BC.
Some of that is true.
This song is also well known as the opening theme song for the HBO show "True Detective."

Sackcloth 'n' Ashes is the debut full-length studio album by Denver-based band 16 Horsepower.
"New York-born Barrett had lived many different lives before he took charge of Mount Zion Baptist Church on Chicago’s South Side, where he would later minister to the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire’s Philip Bailey. He had worked in a morgue, shined shoes, become a jazz singer and mostly self-taught pianist inspired by Errol Garner among others.
But being the distant cousin and former student of preacher and activist Reverend CL Franklin, father of soul icon Aretha, it wasn’t long before he heard the call...."

In 1962, while jamming on stage with Herbie Hancock at a Bronx nightclub, Santamaría infused Latin beats into Hancock’s composition of “Watermelon Man.” This song became a runaway pop hit for the well-known jazz-label, Riverside, and Santamaría's biggest hit. The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998. - nmaahc.si.edu
So, if you did not know, well, now you know, you know?
Colón was born in the South Bronx in New York City to Puerto Rican parents. He picked up the trumpet from a young age, and later switched to trombone, inspired by the all-trombone sound of Mon Rivera and Barry Rogers. He spent some summers at his maternal grandmother's sister's farm in the outskirts of Manatí, Puerto Rico on the road to neighboring Ciales, Puerto Rico.
At the age of 15, he was signed to Fania Records, and at 17, he recorded his first album, which ultimately sold more than 300,000 copies.
