"Beaster" is Sugar's EP from 1993, recorded alongside their acclaimed debut album, "Copper Blue." While sharing the same recording timeframe, "Beaster" distinguishes itself with a denser, heavier sound reminiscent of Hüsker Dü.
Band leader Bob Mould describes it as lyrically unnerving and musically harder and looser compared to "Copper Blue," likening it to an "evil twin" with wilder lyrical content.

Dan Boeckner, Randall Dunn, and Matt Chamberlain collaborated closely to craft this dark, atmospheric album, with Chamberlain's innovative use of vintage Arp synthesizers adding depth to the sound. During the recording process, Boeckner often slept in a sleeping bag under the synth rack.

Luxembourg artist Francis of Delirium, also known as Jana Bahrich, released a trilogy of EPs from 2020 to 2022. Her musical evolution has transitioned from the angst-driven alt-rock to a softer pop sound. Speaking on this song, Jana shared:
“I wanted ‘First Touch’ to have a kind of ‘sun-rock’ vibe. The core of ‘First Touch’ is about looking back at love with a sense of nostalgia and idealism. I wanted to capture the youthful feeling of being completely consumed by someone and believing everything would work out, even if that is naive. But, I also wanted to emphasise the beauty of that sentiment, the hope and trust that come with really believing in the authenticity of love.”

Levitate was written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered entirely by de Blanche and Evdokimov in their Stockholm studio, and the result is akin to listening to a creative collaboration blossom in real time. The album’s title suggests progression, and the band explain it as reflecting an in-between state, with levitation being somewhere between the earth and the sky.

'Pikul' is the debut album from Silversun Pickups, released in 2005. The album includes 16 untitled tracks after "...All the Go Inbetweens", all of which are about 44 seconds long each, concealing a hidden track at the end ("Sci-Fi Lullaby"). The album name comes from the nickname of a friend of the band who died, and to whom the album is dedicated. The name is commonly pronounced "Pickle", but the correct pronunciation is "pie-kull".

Formed in Boise, Idaho in 1992. Perfect from Now On was Built to Spill's third album, and was their first major label release (Warner Bros.) release. It was recorded at the Avast! Recording Company in Seattle, Washington.
The album was recorded three times. The first time, frontman Doug Martsch attempted to play all the instruments except drums. He and Ek were dissatisfied with the results, so Martsch brought in bassist Brett Nelson and drummer Scott Plouf and recorded the album again. However, the tapes were destroyed by heat when Ek was driving from Seattle to Boise to record additional overdubs. The band rehearsed some more, then recorded the album a third time.

Mama Zu is the musical project between Jessi Zazu and Linwood Regensburg after the break up of their previous band, Those Darlins, in 2016. They began working on an album under the name Mama Zu while Zazu was battling cervical cancer, which claimed her life at age twenty-eight in September 2017.

Fever to Tell is the 2003 debut studio album by American indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
The band wanted to finance their debut album themselves and chose to record at the low-budget Headgear Studio in Brooklyn. His original lyrics were kind of a portrait of a modern day rebel, a free-spirited individualist striding through the world wide-eyed and purposeful. I added the themes of reconciling the boy and man in myself, and the difference between what people are and what others perceive them to be—namely me, I guess."
