# 48 on John's list of JESUS H MURPHY THIS COUNTDOWN IS AWESOME. == An amazing note from Scott Redmond who is on the KEXP board and just donated at the Double Rainbow All The Way level... "Good morning buddy. My dad would have been 81 today. Back in the day of the pledge drives with phone rooms full of volunteers answering a land line and taking pledges written down on pieces of paper my dad used to call in and ask for me. I’d inevitably have to jump a few phones down the table to take his call. He would always start the call with “Scotty boy!” and then go on to donate and we’d have a little chat. He knew how much KEXP meant to me and wanted to support the things that he knew mattered to his family. It was super sweet and one of my favorite memories from the good old phone room days. So, todayI ’m donating in memory of my dad - and all the dads who support their kids in special ways. Love you brother. Thank you for all you do to normalize vulnerability for all of us who listen. You are making a big difference in a lot of lives and I’m grateful for you."

#41 but # 1 at saving lives == Wendy in Kingston, NY: Like some others who have written in today, this year I joined that club no one wants to join, of folks who lost their moms. As another community member just noted, i feel like my KEXP community had prepared me—as best as one can ever really be prepared—for this awful loss. It's been an unpredictable experience, but y'all have helped me through it, with magical moments of grace through music and community. Thanks for all you do.

# 32 == I'm an amplifier that just upped my donation to get the crewneck! Just wanted to share that I'm a Seattleite that spends a lot of time in the Netherlands. I've been slowly filling my Dutch partner's wardrobe with KEXP gear and he has had someone stop him multiple times on the street in here to compliment his KEXP t-shirt. On a recent trip, we were in a small neighborhood bar listening to a Dutch band play American blues and roots music. I was having a conversation after with one of the band members and he said "there's this radio station in Seattle that hosts amazing live performances and puts them on YouTube." And I said, "Do you mean KEXP?" as I slipped on my KEXP beanie that I of course had in my pocket. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that people making impacts far and wide. Thank you for all you do! So thankful to have the privilege of being an amplifier! Amber
