"Suffer" is a song from The Smashing Pumpkins's debut studio album, Gish. An early version of the song was actually titled "Seam", and appeared on the deluxe re-issue of Gish.
Beth Gibbons (from Portishead) has co-produced her upcoming album with James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur), with additional production from Talk Talk drummer Lee Harris.
The new album will be out May 17th. Gibbons wrote the album after a long period of reflection and "lots of goodbyes." Read more about the new record here:

The rhythm track on this song is based on the bells found in the 1975 song "Take Me To The Mardi Gras" by Bob James, a jazz composer known for combining elements of dance, funk and pop.
This track also samples a drum break from "Parade Strut" by JJ Johnson and lifts the "Hey Hey Hey Hey" refrain from "Planetary Citizen" (1975) by John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. tinyurl.com

Middle Kids' new album, "Faith Crisis Pt. 1," is out now!
Faith Crisis Pt 1 was recorded in five weeks back in June of 2022 in Eastbourne, United Kingdom, alongside producer Jonathan Gilmore. During their sessions, the band experimented with synths and organs for the first time. Hannah Joy shared that unlike their previous albums, which were very intertwined with their daily lives, with "snippets written in sound checks, visiting a studio whilst on the road [and] recording vocals after doing the dishes at home", during the process of making Faith Crisis Pt 1, they sought separation from daily life and the going-ons of society by "carving out the space and world for making this record, which, yeah, was awesome – but absolutely fried the mainframes".

Joe Talbot on this song: This was a real struggle. [Producer Mark] Bowen was really obsessed about doing interesting counts with the beats. I just wanted to make people dance and create infectious beats. We were coming from very different angles, but we loved this song that Bowen had made. I was like, I get it, Bowen. This is insane. I love it, but I can’t get it' We hung on to it for ages, and then [producer] Nigel [Godrich] really helped us out, he created spaces and bits here and there by turning things down and moving everything slightly. Then Kenny [Beats] helped me out, and got rid of the stupid counts, I think, and helped me write it on a 4/4 beat. And then they changed it back. I just come in in weird places. Everyone chipped in, because everyone believed in the song.

Frontman James Smith reveals, "'We Make Hits' started like most Yard Act songs do these days, in Ryan’s spare bedroom. He’d recorded a couple of basslines and I went round to throw some words on top just to see what might happen.
"I was reflecting on how things had changed so much for us over the last few years when I realised that sat round a laptop trying to make each other laugh, necking black coffee and craning our heads out of the window to smoke cigs every hour or so, all that had really changed within the writing process was that, thanks to my baby, we were at Ryan’s house rather than mine and that Ryan had a place of his own now, which was nice.
