Norwegian singer Aurora co-wrote this song with The Chemical Brothers and is featured on vocals. The duo said, "Aurora really made this by coming up with these amazing images. Sonics-wise, there are a lot of ideas and a lot of movement. There are moments where it almost feels that whole thing has gone too far, the way it builds and then you’re back down. It's a rolling psychedelic journey, for want of a better word." - www.last.fm - www.thechemicalbrothers.com --- Aurora was live in the KEXP studio in 2018: www.youtube.com

Debut single by London dream pop duo Deary! They say Fairground is "about the sensory overload of life in London, starting out as a letter to a loved one from singer and guitarist Dottie." LA-based artist ill peach says: “HEAD FULL OF HOLES is about our obsession with nostalgia. This urge to have a tight grip on certain memories. Sometimes the beautiful and the painful ones get distorted because we want to remember them a certain way. We both had experiences like that in therapy this past year. It’s part of the healing journey to decipher between how much of the past is real and how much of it is how we embellished it in our minds. We started writing HFOF when we took our first trip to London. We were listening to a lot of Coldplay, My bloody Valentine and Radiohead there. Naturally. And we heard Radiohead talk about the infinite climax in a song so this is us trying that out.” - illpeach.bandcamp.com

The New York-based Colombian duo, Salt Cathedral, has announced their second studio album Before It’s Gone, set to release on March 22, 2024. "It is somewhat of a conceptual record about time and our existence in a modern world - fears of climate change, friendship, social media, trust & complacency. It’s an attempt to record this feeling in the now - of growing and finding ourselves in a hyperconnected world, that is both beautiful and in danger. In good Salt Cathedral fashion it's kind of upbeat, hopeful and reflective - must be the Latino spirit in us. Music wise it's an exploration. We wanted to push the pillars of genre and music. We had many inspirations, from classical music to East Asian sounds, folk, pop and electronic." - saltcathedral.bandcamp.com

This song was written by Andy Prieboy, who in the mid-'80s was lead singer of the Los Angeles group Wall Of Voodoo. Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde explained, "Wendy was a real person. She was diagnosed with AIDS and rather than suffering the stigma, she decided to commit suicide. It's an old song, so this is a long time ago, and not that anything's changed much, by the way. But it's basically her dialogue with herself as to the decision she's going to make on her own. She's making the decision on her own, it's her one act of dignity in her life. And it's heavy, to say the least. When that first came out, there was a lot of good old fashioned southern 'we should burn this record' kind of s--t. Between the vampires and Wendy, I think those people just about choked on their whatever." - www.songfacts.com

Liam Gallagher and the Stone Roses guitarist John Squire have shared this single, marking the Manchester musicians’ first collaboration. More new music is said to be on the way this year. "I think John’s a top songwriter," shares Gallagher. "Everyone always bangs on about him as a guitarist, but he’s a top songwriter too, man, no two ways about it as far as I’m concerned. There’s not enough of his music out there, whether it’s with the Roses or himself. It’s good to see him back writing songs and f**king good ones. The melodies are mega and then the guitars are a given. But I think even when you take all the f**king guitars off, you can play the songs all on acoustic and they’ll all still blow your mind." tinyurl.com
