Hey Wednesday, it's time for The Morning Show! --- From New Order's third studio album, "Low-Life," this song Elegia is a haunting instrumental tribute to Ian Curtis, the late singer of Joy Division, from whom the remaining members formed New Order. Originally a 17:29 farewell to the former Joy Division frontman, the song was shortened for its inclusion on Low-Life, and later included in the 2002 box set Retro. The song has since gone on to appear in a number of films and TV series, including "Stranger Things."

Saudade is a Portuguese word which means (approximately) nostalgic longing for an absent something or someone, but it's hard to describe in English. It is often associated with an understanding that one might never encounter the person or place again.

The name 'Galaxie 500' was inspired by a friend of the band's car. Hey John and Owen- This week would’ve been my dad’s 75th birthday. We didn’t get along great in the last few years of his life and I’ve struggled a lot with the things left unsaid before he died. But lately I’ve been reconnecting to the good times we had through one thing we always had in common- music. One of my earliest memories of music as a kid is my dad putting a Rolling Stones collection on the turntable and me studying the cover inside and out as these weird wonderful jagged sounds filled my ears. The memory doesn’t fix anything, but it reminds me that it wasn’t all bad. If you could fit in some Stones this morning, I’d really appreciate it.
