Slowdive are a British shoegaze pioneering band that formed in Reading, Berkshire, in 1989. The band consists of Rachel Goswell on vocals, guitar and keyboard, Neil Halstead on vocals and guitar, Christian Savill on guitar, Nick Chaplin on bass guitar and Simon Scott on drums. Halstead is the band's primary songwriter. As Sterogum puts it: “everything is alive picks up where Slowdive left off, and turns the shoegaze conversation under a new light: They use this music not as numb escape, but a conduit for wonder.” Slowdive joined Cheryl Waters in the KEXP Live Room back in 2017. They discussed their return as a band and performed 4 songs for us. Check it out here - www.kexp.org

Bully is the solo project of singer, songwriter and guitarist Alicia Bognanno. The project originally began as a rock band, formed in 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee. Bognanno says: When “Lose You” came about it was the first time I’ve considered having someone else sing on a Bully song. I love Sophie’s [Allison of Soccer Mommy] voice and have always admired everything she does so to me it was a no brainer. Watching her soar out of the Nashville scene and dominate indie music world wide has been a joy. Writing “Lose You” was a way for me to work through the pain and reality of impermanence. It doesn’t make it any easier but reflection is often followed by growth and to me that’s what life is all about." Bully was live at KEXP Studios in 2015. Check it out here: www.youtube.com
