Good morning and welcome to the Morning Show with John! BRONSON, Grammy-nominated duo Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight of ODESZA and ARIA-platinum-selling Australian producer Tom Stell of Golden Features, said of this single, ‘DAWN' and working with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, "Not only do the lyrics provide this renewed sense of hope, but his vocals complement the tone and energy of the song perfectly – ‘DAWN’ is a song meant to take you on a journey and explore various concepts and emotions of the record. We couldn’t think of a more fitting song to end the album with.” - bit.ly

Found on U2's classic 1987 album 'The Joshua Tree,' and written in response to the National Union of Mineworkers' 1984 strike in Great Britain. "I was interested in the miners' strike politically, but I wanted to write about it on a more personal level," Bono told NME in 1987. "A cold statistic about a pit closure and redundancies that follow is drastic enough on one level, but it never tells the full human story."

"It's about the homeless and the streetwalkers that populate that road," he told NME. "It's something our city tries to ignore. Released on this date in 1981! From their fourth studio album, Ghost in the Machine. "This was first recorded as a demo, with the piano figure, in a studio in Montreal. I had written the song long before the Police were successful, but it seemed a bit soft for the band at first. But the demo was really great. It sounded like a No 1 song to me. I took it to the band, who were reticent, still thinking it was soft. I was saying, "But listen, it's a hit." We tried to do it from scratch as the Police, but it didn't have the same energy as the demo. After a degree of hair-pulling and torturing on my part, I got the band to play over the top of my demo. — Sting, The Independent, September 1993"

"Blue Monday" is the best-selling 12-inch single of all time in Britain. -- New Order came up with the rhythm when they were experimenting with a new Oberheim DMX drum machine they had purchased. In the Guardian newspaper of February 24, 2006, Peter Hook explained: "Bernard [Sumner] and Stephen [Morris] were the instigators. It was their enthusiasm for new technology. The drum pattern was ripped off from a Donna Summer B-side. We'd finished the drum pattern and we were really happy, then Steve accidentally kicked out the drum machine lead so we had to start from scratch and it was never as good. The technology was forever breaking down and the studio was really archaic. Kraftwerk booked it after us because they wanted to emulate 'Blue Monday.'
