From Sigur Rós latest record. Front person Jónsi described the latest record saying "Trans and queer and gay rights have been trampled on so much recently. It's scary to see. Around the world also, it feels like we're going backwards. We try to stay out of politics, just to make the music as neutral as possible, but we were talking about the state of the world we live in now: climate change and doomscrolling."

"Every record that leaves profound traces behind is a positive experience, even if it gives you a deep feeling of despair. At least you feel something again, you’re not blunted, no matter how paradoxical that may sound.” -- Robert Smith

This was released ten years before Sia started hiding under he famous wig. Even then, she did very little press and often suppressed her image. Her picture doesn't appear on the album cover.
In the video The making of Colour the Small One, Sia says: "'Breathe Me' is about feeling worried, generally anxious. Being overwhelmed by your own inner dialogue and having some sort of conniption fit and potentially doing yourself some harm, then asking for help."

Andrew Vowles, the main songwriter of Teardrop, sent an early demo of the song to Madonna, as he initially wanted her to record the vocals for the song. However, bandmates Robert Del Naja and Grantley Marshall wanted Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins to record the vocals, feeling her ethereal style suited the feel of the piece. Although Madonna was very keen to record the vocals, the two-to-one vote ruled in Fraser's favor.
Breathe. Meditate.

Love Buzz on KCMU!
As the legend goes, Kurt Cobain stopped by KCMU (what would become KEXP) after the release of Nirvana’s first 7-inch single, Love Buzz / Big Cheese. He personally handed over a copy to the station then sat in his car with his radio tuned in and waited to hear his song. When he didn’t hear it, he called in and requested the song himself. Originally recorded by Dutch band Shocking Blue in 1969. www.subpop.com
