Temple of the Dog is the only album by the American rock band Temple of the Dog, released on April 16, 1991. It is a tribute to Andrew Wood, the former lead singer of Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone, who died on March 19, 1990, of a heroin overdose. Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, who had been Mother Love Bone vocalist Andrew Wood's roommate, approached former Mother Love Bone members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament about working on material he had written when he was on tour with Soundgarden in Europe. The line-up eventually included Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron and newcomers Mike McCready (lead guitar) and Eddie Vedder (background vocals).

In the highly recommended documentary "Love Story," arranger David Angel has high praises for the band: “I never heard any other group reach that level of art. I mean the Beatles had a wonderful combination and they had the right stuff. Everybody had a role and they did it right. But as far as a group that just created a kind of abstract rock art, I never heard anything like this group and that album." Read the story behind this song: bit.ly

"Cut Your Face," the brand new single from the Joy Formidable, is out now. Of the song, Bryan says in a press release: “‘Cut Your Face’ is a reminder to myself that even in shyness, when that voice is telling you to hide away, that what I really want is deep, authentic connection. The only way to satisfy that longing is to be vulnerable, messy and imperfect…and life is all the more beautiful because of it.” Watch the music video here: youtu.be onerpm.link

"The video shows the band playing in an audition in a high school gymnasium, with different light filters changing the color of the room. Karen O's crying in the video was not staged. She explains: "They were real tears. My boyfriend at the time (Angus Andrew [of the band Liars]) was supposed to come to the shoot – he was three hours late and I was just about to leave for tour. I didn't think he was even going to come and this was the song that was written for him. He eventually showed up and I got myself in a real emotional state." LA Duo ill peach released their first love song "BLOOM." Speaking on the new single, the duo explain, “‘BLOOM’ might be our only love song. A bittersweet one. It’s about testing the boundaries of a long-distance relationship. How can you love and be with someone if you can’t see them? In the flux of everything that happened these past few years, we saw friends and longtime relationships break up like a ripple effect. But also surprisingly, the ones that had it the hardest around us found love in the ashes, a beginning to an ending. Love can and will navigate anything if you believe it. So ‘BLOOM’ is our anthem to fighting for love.” rollacoaster.tv

"Released in 1987, the album "Darklands" plays as a celebration of the gloomy and rainy springs of the group’s native Glasgow. The band seem to find the promise of new life that comes with spring rains exhilarating and appropriately mix candy-flavored pop amid the waves of skuzz and feedback that were their stock and trade. The track is a carefully crafted appreciation of the spring and all of its new possibilities as life seems to re-emerge after the bleakness of winter.": www.djdmac.com

Watch the performance here: youtu.be www.yardactors.com ‘The Trench Coat Museum’ is about how our perception of everything shifts both collectively and individually over time at speeds we simply can’t measure in the moment. Within whatever space in society we occupy, we often see our own beliefs as being at the absolute pinnacle of what should be the ‘cultural norm’ and whilst the completely human trait of being self-assured can’t be helped, it’s an absolute hindrance on our collective process.
