Happy birthday to Bill Evans! Born on this day in 1929, Bill Evans (D. September 15, 1980) was an American jazz pianist and composer who worked primarily as the leader of his trio and famously played on a few Miles Davis albums including “Kinda Blue.”

Aretha Franklin was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. Known as ‘The Queen of Soul’ and one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, she sold more than 75 million records worldwide. During her career she scored over 15 Top 40 hits and won 18 Grammy Awards.
On this day in 1938, Robert Johnson, American blues singer-songwriter and guitarist (b. May 8, 1911) died at the age of 27 years old.
On this day in 1977, Elvis Presley, American singer, guitarist, and actor (The Blue Moon Boys) (b. January 8, 1935) died at 42 years old.
Bela Lugosi died on this day in 1956. Bela Lugosi (born Béla Ferenc Dezső Blaskó), was a Hungarian-American actor best remembered for portraying Count Dracula in the 1931 film, Ygor in Son of Frankenstein and his roles in many other horror films from 1931 through 1956.

Teenage Sequence has just released a new single called ‘Tell Me Your Name’. He writes, Imagine the scene.
