"Darkness, Darkness" and “No Services” are two songs performed by Kieran Hebden and William Tyler. This is the first collaboration between Hebden, the producer and electronic musician also known as Four Tet, and Tyler, the Nashville-based guitarist and composer.

After different instrumental variations and the addition of a bass rhythm, the track introduces rapper Roots Manuva with a 4 minute long segment over the original sampling. In his lyrics, he references the TARDIS, a fictional spacecraft used in the popular science fiction television series Doctor Who.
Nightmares on Wax is Leeds-born Ibiza-based DJ and producer George Evelyn. This is his first single since 2018. He says, "Imagineering is inspired by my travels through Asia pre lockdown 2020."

Gorillaz released "Demon Days" internationally and in the US on this day in 2005! The album was released on May 11th in Japan.
This upcoming album, which will be released on July 21 on Parlophone, follows Blur's last reunion album — 2015’s The Magic Whip — and was produced by James Ford, who last worked with Damon Albarn for the Gorillaz’s 2018 album, The Now Now.
"This is an aftershock record, reflection and comment on where we find ourselves now," said Albarn of the new record. “Under You” is the second single from “But Here We Are”, Foo Fighters' 11th album.
The song continues the album’s trend of emulating part of the classic Foo Fighters sound, and lyrically tackles the band recovering from the loss of their beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Charles Thompson IV is best known for his work with the Pixies, performing under the stage name Black Francis -- as well as his solo career under the name Frank Black.
His family moved to Westport, Massachusetts just before his senior year of high school -- and he received the "Teenage of the Year" award that year, giving the title for this solo album.
Days Move Slow a tribute to Bully mastermind Alicia Bognanno’s late dog, Mezzi.

I'm happy because I seem to have made it another year, and with it comes may annual request to hear New Order's True Faith. You've been so kind to work it into your mix over the past umpteen years, and I'm hopeful you can carve out some time to do it again.
Thanks again for you and everything KEXP does year 'round to help me and everyone else out in radioland (and streaming land) ride the highs and lows that life sends us. It's challenging somethings, but it's a small price to pay for caring about the good people and good things that make up this world.

No Surprises was actually recorded in only one single take. The guitars, according to Thom Yorke were arranged to resemble the classic Beach Boys' song "Wouldn't It Be Nice," together with a glockenspiel, acoustic guitar and the vocal harmonies throughout the song.: steemit.com

This song is a tribute to soul singer Geno Washington, and performed in approximately the style of Geno Washington's Ram Jam Band. Kevin Rowland and Kevin Archer began working on this song in early 1979, with Rowland writing lyrics to Archer's music.
The song bears resemblance to Zoot Money's Big Roll Band's "One and Only Man" and the Turtles' "Happy Together".
The "Geno! Geno! Geno!" chant at the beginning and end of the song is sampled from crowd noises on Van Morrison's acclaimed 1974 live album It's Too Late to Stop Now, a favourite of Kevin Rowland's.
Business as Usual is the debut studio album by Australian new wave band Men at Work, which was released in November 1981 in Australia, and April 1982 in the United States.
The Australian version had a black and white cover design; overseas releases had a similar design, but in a black and yellow colour scheme.
Look Sharp! is the debut album by Joe Jackson, released in 1979. The album features one of Jackson's most well-known songs, "Is She Really Going Out with Him?", as well as the title track "Look Sharp", "Sunday Papers", "One More Time" and "Fools in Love".

"A Girl Like You," which is an Iggy Pop tribute, was Edwyn Collins' biggest solo hit. It was reported that Pop intended to record his own rendition of “A Girl Like You” but opted not to due to Collins’ own version blowing up.
The song samples the drum track of Len Barry's single "1-2-3" (1965), and features The Sex Pistols' drummer Paul Cook on vibraphone.
