As with his previous three albums, this album is titled Peter Gabriel. In the United States and Canada. Geffen Records issued the album under the title 'Security' to differentiate it from his previous releases. The title was changed with Gabriel's reluctant agreement. The new title was displayed in a sticker on top of the LP sleeve's shrink-wrap and on the disc labels. Whilst Gabriel provided the title himself, the album was officially known as Peter Gabriel in other territories. The Security title was maintained on American and Canadian releases of the album until 2010, when it reverted to the original Peter Gabriel title for reissues by Gabriel's own Real World Records label.
Memento Mori is Depeche Mode's fifteenth album, and is their first studio album to be recorded and released as a duo, following the death of co-founder and keyboardist Andy Fletcher in 2022.

Harry Belafonte was an American singer, activist, and actor. As arguably the most successful Caribbean-American pop star, he popularized Jamaican mento folk songs which was marketed as Trinbagonian Calypso musical style with an international audience in the 1950s. His breakthrough album Calypso (1956) was the first million-selling LP by a single artist. Born in Harlem New York in 1927, he passed away today at the age of 96.

"Come Away Melinda" is a song written by Fred Hellerman and Fran Minkoff. An anti-war song, its first release was by Harry Belafonte in May 1963.
"White Rabbit" was written and performed by Grace Slick while she was still with The Great Society. Slick quit them and joined Jefferson Airplane to replace their departing female singer, Signe Toly Anderson. The first album Slick recorded with Jefferson Airplane was Surrealistic Pillow, and Slick provided two songs from her previous group, including "White Rabbit." The Great Society's version of "White Rabbit" was much longer than the more aggressive version of Jefferson Airplane.

In 2020 Lenny Kravitz's wrote an autobiography by the same title, "Let Love Rule."
In the memoir, Lenny Kravitz talks about growing up in New York as the child of an interracial couple, his loving relationship with his mom, actress Roxie Roker, best known for playing Helen Willis on "The Jeffersons," and the difficult relationship he had with his dad, Sy Kravitz, a TV news producer. It's also about living in LA as a teen and struggling to find his musical voice while getting kicked out of his home by his dad.

Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service are going on tour this fall for the Transatlanticism & Give Up Anniversary Tour.
They will be playing in Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena on October 7, 2023.
Most of this album was recorded live over a single night in Los Angeles, with additional in-studio recording and overdubs done later. Several songs would be rerecorded for other releases, however, "My Time" has not been rerecorded and rereleased.

Al Jourgenson co-wrote this song with Shay Jones for Ministry's debut album, With Sympathy.
With Sympathy was out of print for many years, and Jourgensen claimed that he had destroyed the master tapes. In 2012, Eastworld Records reissued the album with three bonus tracks
Gene Loves Jezebel are a British rock band formed in the early 1980s by identical twin brothers Jay (born John) and Michael Aston. The name of the band is a reference to rock musician Gene Vincent and his song "Jezebel".
INXS's third album, Shabooh Shoobah, developed after the band decided in early 1982 to record a new song, "The One Thing", at their own expense, with Mark Opitz at Paradise Studios. The song turned out so well that band hired Opitz to produce three more songs.
The name "Shabooh Shoobah" is an onomatopoeia of a rhythm in the song "Spy of Love".
Andrew Eldritch described this song in a 1987 interview with Sounds magazine: "It's about people who sing about the revolution while selling it short, about people who sing about the corrosion of things while they themselves are falling apart. People who miss the point."

Sigue Sigue Sputnik was a British New Wave band founded in 1982 in London by former Generation X bassist Tony James.
The name is a supposed reference to a Russian street gang, meaning, in rough translation "burn, burn satellite" ("sigue" coming from a form of the Russian verb сжигать, meaning burn, and Sputnik referencing the first man-made satellite launched by the Soviet Union in 1957).
