The English trio's first album since 2016’s Not To Disappear is out on April 7th! Head over to their website to pre-order! ohdaughter.com Produced by Igor and Elena, Stereo Mind Game was written and recorded in various locations including Devon, Bristol and London, England, San Diego, California, Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington. Tonra shares of the new album, "It has been in the making for a long time, pieced together delicately (obsessively maybe) over years, trying to make it as complete as it could ever feel. I think it’s more optimistic than our past records (but it still has my lyrics.. so.. it’s never going to be full sunshine) but I’ve tried to document experiences, thoughts, feelings, conversations and memories from my life, and hope that we’ve turned them into something listenable, something positive."

Parks described this new single: "'Weightless' surrounds the painful experience of caring deeply about someone who only gives you tiny breadcrumbs of affection. In a statement on their new album, Nakhane said: It’s an existential sex album. Almost every song on it has some kind of wink towards sex. It’s not necessarily a seductive, come to me, bedroom eyes kind of sex—it’s much more inquisitive, psychological sex. When I wrote You Will Not Die it was at the end of my relationship with Christianity, and then when I wrote Bastard Jargon I’d moved to London and I threw myself into just wanting to feel good. - bit.ly - nakhaneofficial.com

Massive Attack uses a variety of vocalists. This one is sung by the reggae singer Horace Andy. It's based on Andy's 1973 song "You Are My Angel." -- The original idea was to record a cover version of The Clash's "Straight To Hell," but Horace Andy wasn't happy singing the word "hell." Mezzanine co-producer Neil Davidge recalled: "We were literally rewriting songs while we were mixing... Angel (was) plucked out of thin air at a mixing session at London Olympic Studios. 3D and Horace went next door, were kind of throwing vocal ideas around... And we were messing around with the track, dropping things together. Then Horace put a vocal down and it was like, wow, s--t, that is magic." -- "It is quite probably the most used Massive Attack song in both TV and movie soundtracks ever, having appeared in countless different filmed media.": massiveattack.ie

Good morning, John. Before discovering KEXP and your show via the internet, I had to rely on rock n'roll radio. In particularly, Lin Brehmer and XRT in Chicago. They were the only station I knew that dabbled in sets that bent musical genres and didn't stick to the typical corporate media I grew up on. For a seminal part of my life the guy meant the world to me and honestly, and he was one of my gateways to KEXP. Lin passed away yesterday after a battle with F cancer. Could you please play anything by Wilco in his memory today? Thanks so much. Hope you have a great day. Ray / Milwaukee ----------- "On its Nonesuch debut, Wilco delivers a thrillingly experimental work that scored a perfect 10 on Pitchfork, which hailed the album as 'complex and dangerously catchy, lyrically sophisticated and provocative, noisy and somehow serene … simply a masterpiece.' As the New York Times put it, Jeff Tweedy’s songs 'unfold in richly enigmatic arrangements.'" wilcohq.bandcamp.com

"Good morning! Its going to be a MONDAY and my ADHD is having a terrible time. Could we listen to some New Order to help get me out of bed, please? -Jessica" ------- The band stated that this song was written in response to crowd disappointment at the fact that they never played encores. The song was planned to allow them to return to the stage, press play on a synthesiser and leave the stage again, but while writing the song it evolved into a project that the band quite liked, and it was turned from an experiment into a single. However, the band since have become noted for playing "Blue Monday" as an encore.

"Hi KEXP Team I moved here in 2018 and KEXP has been one of the best discoveries of my time in Seattle. You’ve been a soundtrack for commutes, work, runs, tough times, good times and late night dance parties, and an undercurrent of community during the isolation of the last few years. I’m leaving Seattle today, but I’ll be taking KEXP with me on the drive and to my new home in San Diego. Thanks for always reminding us that music matters and that we are not alone. Would love to hear LCD Soundsystem’s all my friends if you can squeeze it in -Dan in Fremont" ------ James Murphy was asked why he felt this song struck a chord with people. He replied: "I don't know. It's sad-ish and people are old. I was purposefully trying to chase a feeling I got from Joy Division's 'Transmission,' which starts off so gentle, and becomes so f--king overwhelming. By the time he's going, 'Dance, dance, dance to the radio!' your head's exploding."
