The Cass Bird & Molly Schiot-directed video for the Raveonettes’ cover of the Stone Roses’ 1989 debut opener “I Wanna Be Adored” starts with and returns to a pair of clunky green Doc Marten boots — a personal detail of the younger half of the clip’s odd couple, true, and this whole thing was put together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the punk-beloved shoe company, Dr. Martens. bit.ly

Los Angeles band Medicine's debut studio album, released in September 1992. The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1990 by guitarist and keyboardist Brad Laner.
Medicine is well known for their cameo in the 1994 film 'The Crow' where they performed their track "Time Baby II". The movie soundtrack included an alternate version entitled "Time Baby III" which featured guest vocals from the Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser.

We have been given the honor of playing the first new music from Boston’s Drop Nineteens in 30-years. The song is an unreleased track, remixed and remastered, called “Daymom”, and it is from the forthcoming Drop Nineteens album “1991” which comes out next year. The album consists of unreleased material from the band, freshly and painstakingly re-mixed and remastered. Pale Saints were an English alternative rock/shoegaze band formed in 1987 in Leeds by singer-bassist Ian Masters, guitarist Graeme Naysmith and drummer Chris Cooper. The group began as a jangly indie pop band influenced by Primal Scream's early sound. By the time they recorded their first EP, Barging Into the Presence of God, released in 1989, the band went into a direction that displayed a mix of Ian Masters' ethereal, choirboy-like vocals along with dark atmospheric and noisy pop tunes

John, when I was 16 in high school I used to smoke a little weed and light candles and look out my window at the fir trees while I listened to cocteau twins. Some of the moments that I remember when I was so insecure and lonely at that time, but I do remember feeling so safe and happy when I was alone in my room with my music. I didn't know anyone else that liked cocteau twins but that was ok. That's what's nice about being alone sometimes, you can indulge all those funny feelings and weird music desires. Thanks for a great show today! Good to hear your voice!

The album was recorded from August to September 1984 at Palladium Studios, Edinburgh and Rooster, West London. Simon Raymonde alluded to it being rushed and unfinished, while Robin Guthrie referred to it as "an abortion" and to the period in which it was made as "arty-farty pre-Raphaelite." Revolver were a London-based guitar band in existence from 1990 until 1994, comprising Mat Flint (guitar/vocals), Hamish Brown (bass) and Nick Dewey (drums). Flint and Dewey had been in school bands together, and when the two moved to London in the autumn of 1990 met Brown who completed the line-up. Mat Flint went on to play bass guitar for Death In Vegas from 1996 onwards.
The song reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart, number 11 on the Irish Singles Chart, and number four on the US Billboard Modern Rock chart. The music video for "Then" was shot at Hawkstone Park Hotel and Golf Course in Rural Shropshire, England.
