I have to thank you for the annual mom show, it was truly transformative for me. This year’s show was just after the passing of my father and it helped me to begin to turn my sadness and grief to warmth and joy at having been privileged to have been raised by him. I know this is out there and I totally understand if it does not work, but I was hoping you could play the theme from Gunsmoke for my dad who passed away one month ago to the day. I can’t get myself to explain it here without breaking down, but just know it means something to us...

Parton was born in Locust Ridge, Tennessee and grew up in poverty, the fourth of 12 children, and her mother really did make her such a coat. Her classmates teased her, but Parton was proud of the coat and tried to make them understand that even though her family didn't have much money, they were rich in other, more important ways.
Parton kept the famous coat, which later became a popular attraction at her Dollywood Museum, where it is kept in an exhibit along with her handwritten lyrics to the song. - bit.ly

My mom and I received a call two days ago that my sister (age 44) was hit and killed while out biking.
My sister suffered from mental illness for many years and we had always held out hope that she would turn a corner and have more happiness in life before she died in a tragic end.
My sister's happiest times were before mental illness had overtaken her life. In childhood, we often listened to my mom's old Cat Stevens records, so I'd love to hear a song by Cat like the Wind or Morning has Broken.

Good morning, this show is making me feel all the feels. I lost my dad, Mike, a year ago on November 14th. He was an orphan, a twin, a brother, a photographer, an amazing & involved father, and someone who struggled with addiction which certainly has its way of complicating grief. He also had the dopest style and impeccable taste in music. I will miss him the rest of my days. And have learned in grief that he is always with me.
If you could please play The Beatles ‘Let It Be’ (we danced to this at my wedding) or Traveling Wilburys ‘’End of the Line’ (many hours in the car with him, driving around Chicago, jamming to that) I would love to hear it.

"Get Back" was going to be the title of the album and the documentary film about making it. The Beatles stopped touring in 1966 and were worn thin by 1968, but they rekindled their passion for performance after shooting the "Hey Jude" promotional film in September that year before a live audience. Energized by the effort, they agreed to the documentary; the concept was The Beatles "getting back" to their roots and playing new songs for a live audience without any studio tricks.
