The newest song from Snail Mail aka 22-year-old Lindsey Jordan. Her 2nd full length record of the same name is out November 5th.

'För Allting' translates to "For Everything" in English; it's the latest from the Swedish dream pop/post-punk group, recorded with HOLY’s Hannes Ferm.
'“When we started the songwriting process for this album, I think we all were pretty determined to take the music in a new direction,” guitarist Hugo Randulv says in a press release. “Not necessarily that we would sound ‘different,’ but to work on the songs using somewhat different methods than before. For our previous albums we have written the songs in our rehearsal space and pretty much recorded them the way they were. For this album we intended the songs to be finalized in the studio in a different and left some more room to work with.”

In INXS's official autobiography, 'INXS: Story to Story' (2005), Andrew Farriss said that the famous riff to the song appeared suddenly in his head while waiting for a cab to go to the airport to fly to Hong Kong. He asked the cab driver to wait a couple of minutes while he grabbed something from his motel room. In fact, he went up to record the riff and came back down an hour later with a tape to a very annoyed driver.

"I had the idea for “The Doll” video while out for a walk. I was watching a child walk confidently, checking their surroundings, taking it all in. I started to recall how the world used to look as a child. I was lucky to grow up in the countryside and to be able to walk alone in nature. My father was a sportsman (he won a Commonwealth medal for Wales for Weightlifting) and a PE teacher, so I used to go with him and spend time in empty sports venues. There is a special atmosphere to places built for crowds when they are empty. It struck me that a video based on a child exploring these empty spaces and finding something that had been lost would make a really fitting film for our track “The Doll.”
