Good morning all.
Today marks the 20 year anniversary of my marriage to my beautiful wife, Kathy. She's an amazing woman and mother to my 2 awesome sons, Benjamin and Michael and my best friend. We love her dearly. She just wrapped up her most challenging year ever as the 7th grade S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) teacher at Rock Falls middle school. Like most Moms, she always puts everyone else's happiness before her own, even the dog's. To say I'm lucky to be with her would be a huge understatement. I know that she doesn't hear enough how much we love her and what she means to our family. I've never been good at putting my emotions into words. Luckily you play great artists who do. If you get a chance, could you please play the Cure's "Love Song" for Kathy, I would truly appreciate it.

John, Today I come home to a place I've never been.
17 yrs ago this month on a dialup signal in Lansing Michigan I finally found what was missing. Salvation from corporate radio dreck. A place where djs were free to paint their own sonic masterpieces everyday. And a community of listeners who valued creative independence.
Today for the 1st time, I get the chance to see the place that helped teach me that: you give to what you love and what needs protecting.

"many dismiss Jurassic 5 as suburban hip-hoppers who merely exploit the ever-fashionable old-school vibe. And it's true: their style does borrow heavily from the genre's pioneers. But one thing I've always admired about the group is that, despite their success in the mainstream, they've continued to adhere to underground values. Their audience may drive SUV's and worry about SAT's, but J5 themselves came together at the Good Life, a true-skool cafe that, for years, served as the epicenter of LA hip-hop. Naturally, their pedigree doesn't excuse their recent falloff, but it at least lends them more authenticity than a lot of other underground groups."
