"Sæglópur" is Icelandic for "lost at sea" or "lost seafarer". Parts of the song are in Icelandic, although a lengthy portion is in Hopelandic, a "language" of nonsense words selected by the band that sound similar to Icelandic. - bit.ly

Man, I can't even begin to tell you how many times this song, Bad, has gotten me through rough times. Thanks for playing it and thanks to all of you for being here for us and getting us through. Hope you all have a great day. It's a beautiful day here in Rock Falls, IL. Jon == U2 performed a 14-minute version of this song at the London Live Aid concert in 1985, which included a trip by Bono into the crowd at Wembley Stadium. - www.youtube.com

The Goon Sax have announced new album Mirror II, to be released July 9th on Matador Records. The band’s third album was recorded in Bristol at the studio owned by Portishead's Geoff Barrow, and produced by John Parish (Aldous Harding, PJ Harvey). “‘In The Stone’ is set in Berlin where I moved with my partner at the time, just after finishing school and recording our last album We’re Not Talking at the end of 2017,” says Louis Forster. “We were both exploring ourselves - accepting each other's changes and celebrating flux - but also reckoning with the complicated need for a solid sense of self and the person we loved." thegoonsax.bandcamp.com

I met Janes guitarist Dave Navarro at the Whisky a Go Go, (in the bathroom of all places), and told him how many kooky times I had with Jane's and all he said was "I got you beat."😂 -Kerry == Three Days is a Jane’s Addiction song written in 1986 about Xiola Blue’s visit to Los Angeles, where she came to attend her father’s funeral and stayed with Perry Farrell and Casey Niccoli. The trio spent three days together experimenting with drugs and sex, which is the basic premise of this song. - janesaddiction.org

Starting of the show with songs with strong bass lines, a continuation of a theme John started. "White Rabbit" was written and performed by Grace Slick while she was still with the Great Society. Slick quit them and joined Jefferson Airplane to replace their departing female singer, Signe Toly Anderson, who left the band with the birth of her child. The first album Slick recorded with Jefferson Airplane was Surrealistic Pillow, and Slick provided two songs from her previous group: her own "White Rabbit" and "Somebody to Love", written by her brother-in-law Darby Slick and recorded under the title "Someone to Love" by the Great Society. The Great Society's version of "White Rabbit" was much longer than the more aggressive version of Jefferson Airplane.
