Daft Punk, the massively popular and influential Paris-based dance music duo, have broken up. Members Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter announced their split in a new video titled “Epilogue,” excerpted from their 2006 film Electroma, which features the producers in their iconic robot costumes silently parting ways in the desert before one blows the other up. bit.ly

Daft Punk will probably not be playing at James Murphy's house again.
The video is the result of a collaboration between the artist and the Detroit School of Arts. Radio and TV Department students from the school had a hand in the filming of the video, while the clip also stars the Vocal Jazz Ensemble singing ‘Everybody’s Coming to My House’. Speaking about the video, Byrne said: “When I saw what the DSA students did with my song, it completely changed the way I thought of the song. In face, it changed the meaning of the song — I realized it was about inclusion, welcoming and not being alone.”: www.youtube.com

It is with a heavy heart that I write in to request a song in memory of my partners' beautiful faithful loving dog who we had to make the tough decision to put down last night. The more I was around the dog he quickly became my best friend as well, and we developed many daily habits and lasting memories. When my oldest son was a baby he HATED the car. It made going anywhere torturous but then One More Time came on and he stopped crying. It was a minor miracle! From then on we just looped it on every car ride and it helped everyone's moods. It's still one of my favorites.

He recalled to Q magazine April 2011: "I had this schoolboy-ish idea to sneak an overtly sexual song with the framework of pop. I was amazed it got daytime radio play, considering the title is a play on amyl nitrite. To me, it's set in suburbia, in a council estate in Haywards Heath. I was brought up as a white, working-class English boy, and that's what I wrote about. If you're born in a dump you aspire to something better."
