"Good morning from a steamy east coast. I saw a couple of your tweets about Seattle bars that are closing due to Covid or other issues. We just learned yesterday that the venerable Eighteenth Street Lounge in DC is closing after 25 years. Even if you don't know the club, you of course know the record label and music and association with Thievery Corporation and a ton of other world rhythm bands. The club was a DC institution. Music and sound systems that couldn't be beat. And just an overall awesome place.
Anyway, I know there will be many more of these sad closures coming, in DC, Seattle, and around the country. Can we rock out to a bit of Thievery Corporation this morning?" - Paul
