This new one from the L.A. trio is out now. Vocalist Sean Solomon says about this release: “Men are conditioned not to be vulnerable or admit they’re wrong. But I wanted to talk openly about my feelings and mistakes I’ve made.” Find 'Uneasy Laughter' here: moaning.bandcamp.com

"Just wanted to tell you I’ve been listening to your morning show for most of my ‘adult’ life. You’ve been a constant voice, a gateway to so much amazing music, and a constant I’m my life. I lost my best friend to suicide 4 months ago tomorrow. I have struggled with all the emotions related to this, but music has always helped me get through.
I knew him since we were in 7th grade together, so being 50 now, that’s a fucking long time. We also shared a lot through music, even though we didn’t always share the same tastes. We have both always loved obscure Roger Waters tracks. I was listening to Sparklehorse & Radiohead’s rendition of Wish You Were Here, and it resonates for me right now in a surreal way. If you get a chance to play it, send it out to Lloyd. I know he’s still out there listening. Keep up the positive work!" - Thank you, this one's for you, Ron

"I lost my job last week and am trying to figure out what to do next with my life. Part of me just wants to do nothing for a week and see if the numbness I'm feeling from everything wears off, but I know I need to try to find a job.
Anyway, I woke up with the Eels song "Novocaine for the Soul" in my head, and I'm not sure why, though it is fitting for the way I feel. Thanks again." - Tristan, this one's for you, hang in there
Greg in South Jersey wanted to hear this one this morning. Watch them performing live at KEXP last year here: www.youtube.com
While Liam Gallagher fights with everyone via Twitter, Noel went sifting through a bunch of old CDs while in quarantine and unearthed this Oasis demo: "Like the rest of the world, I’ve had infinite time to kill lately so I thought I’d finally look and find out what was actually on the HUNDREDS of faceless unmarked CD’s I’ve got lying around in boxes at home,” he wrote. “As fate would have it, I have stumbled across an old demo which I thought had been lost forever.”

Courtney Taylor-Taylor immediately went to write this song after watching a woman in her car stopped at the intersection outside his apartment window. He told The Independent in 2011:"Her elbow was hangin' out the window at a jaunty angle and her roots were showing. She had a cool tattoo for that time and her face was exquisite."

Lucinda Williams hasn't left her house since March 9th due to COVID-19 precautions. According to a recent interview with The Daily Beast, her day looks like this: "I get up late, I stay up late, so that shortens the day right there. I do phone interviews, I check my emails, and drop off wine. We just moved into this little house in East Nashville, so I’ve been looking online for towels and sheets and stuff. That can take up two or three hours right there. Or I’m doing crossword puzzles online. Then, before long, I start thinking about dinner, and then we order from the delivery places... I make sure to tip the driver a lot. Then we have dinner, and then we decide what we’re going to watch on Netflix."
Music legends, they're just like us in quarantine!

The first single off the local band's 1993 album 'Frosting on the Beater'
PopMatters take on this one from the Scottish band: "It's a bit tongue-in-cheek, but "The Concept" is actually a quite clear character study of maybe anyone in a "scene". Blake goes on to sing rather thoughtfully in describing a girl who really is pretty cool and hip—though maybe a bit too much for her own good."
Supergroup alert! This one comes to you courtesy of Interpol's Paul Banks, Matt Barrick of the Walkmen and Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman. Find their debut album on June 5th here: muzztheband.bandcamp.com

"I wrote my first songs starting August 2015. I had an acoustic guitar for years, and would play a few chords on it every now and then, but never seriously. In 2015 i started actually putting words to those chords, and last August I bought my first electric guitar. So I’m still VERY new this music making thing." "Not gonna lie John, I'm struggling. I heard long ago that a massive change in identity can be devastating to your mental health, and I'm feeling that now. Each day I get on my bicycle in the evening to have something to look forward to, and it seems to help, for a little while. But each morning the sadness and sense of loss seems to return. Once in my life I went through something like this while living in Reno, and Bjork's Hyper-Ballad always takes me back to that moment.. Might you have a few spare moments to work that in?" - We sure do Marty, hang in there, you're not alone.
