"We are all still here. The universe is sending a message to us all to slow down and take stock of our lives. What is a human...what is our purpose...if our time is now, then how shall we proceed and why not listen to the universe and just say yes! If we let go and do what we know is right...then we all get through this together. Please play Wildflower by Tom Petty. Love and Light Seattle!" - Noel in Oakland

"We are at home in Paris, I'm working from home. It's kinda difficult but I needed to slow down a bit also. The situation is really difficult in France, especially in Paris. I hope we can see the light soon. Can you play something for me? Sufjan Stevens maybe... I miss you all so much and hope to see you soon, in Paris, in Seattle or somewhere in this mighty world. Much love! Take care! You are not alone." - Pinar

"When I start a song off of a "ditty" I often think “what it this about” and let the question roll around in my mind for a day or two before I find some thread and start writing lyrics. I went to sleep after working on the song arrangement over a long day and in the morning I woke up repeating “you are not alone”, “you are not alone”… and then I realized. This is a song for John! So I penned this ode to cautious optimism in the midst of quarantine in your honor. I hope this tune can bring a little bit of happiness to your days. Thanks for soldiering on through all of this and bringing hope and comfort to so many people." - Brandon Summers of Helio Sequence, who sent this new song to The Morning Show yesterday. "We are working from home in Ontario. As a nurse practitioner I don't generally get to listen to you, but my husband Mike listens every day. I am so thankful to be with him during these long days, and that is the bright side of covid isolation. Could you please play any song you'd like from his favorite, Jack White, so he can remember last summer when we got to see him solo and with Rancoteurs. Thanks a bunch!" - For Stephanie and Mike!

"My family has loved listening to you through our days of homeschooling my 5 and 8 year old. My sons would like to request the song Pressure by David Bowie and Freddie Mercury. Could it have something to do with me being a very disciplined teacher? Not at all. no way. Teaching is HARD. Shot out to all the amazing teachers. Especially ones that are also homeschooling their own kiddos at the same time. And thank you for being a beacon during this crazy time." Love from New York, Laura, Daniel, Sam and Zach

Holy Esque are set to release their third E.P, ‘CPH’. A collection of rarities recorded in January 2014 at STC Studios, Copenhagen. The E.P will stand as a pre-curser on the path to release of their third record in 2021. Comprised of songs from various sessions, with ‘CPH’ the band finally let forgotten tracks breath new life. Singer Pat Hynes said on the E.P: "With the winding, fleeting nature of recording an album, there are often moments that slip by, that never should have been allowed to slip. Music lost in the difficult choices presented in making something real. We are elated to finally release these moments, with all their flaws in place. ‘CPH’ is a place in the past, brought to the present." The E.P will be released on April 17th via Beyond the Frequency Records // www.facebook.com

"Today my daughter Molly is turning 14, and she would much rather be spending this day with her friends, but is being a good sport about spending it with her folks. She’s a big fan of your show. If you can fit it in, would you play the song Lorelei by the Cocteau Twins for her? (She’s recently discovered this band, be still my 80s 4AD loving heart)."- Happy birthday to Molly, from Mary and all of us here on The Morning Show!

"How about “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee-Gees, for all of us - including my daughter Vela who is attending Lewis & Clark College in PDX working on her thesis. I’ve been listening to 90.3 since the KCMU days, and Vela grew up listening to KEXP. During this unprecedented event, the connection we feel listening to KEXP together – albeit separated by distance and all things considered – is truly tangible and uplifting. Thank you for all you do – stay safe!" - Eric

I played it again last night when I heard the sad news of his death." - Geoffrey from Milwaukee
