Amy writes: Perfect song to walk into the hospital with.... thank you John. I'm a nurse... not sick...lots of years and anxiety amongst the staff..but getting in the car is powered by connection with the morning show. Years = tears.
Morning John,
big hello from London, England. Can you play some late, great Scott Walker, maybe something from "Night Flights" or "The Plague" if you're feeling edgy. Abbie was up for it, but got crunched by other great tracks. Stay sane and healthy man!
Big love,
Rastko
"Ashes to Ashes" is the best David Bowie song. It’s amazing the way you are managing all the situation and giving hope to people with your words and great music. From Perú, I just want to say Thank you, because i know we are a big community of Kexp listeners ✊🏼

Hello from Charleston SC. I am an avid morning show listener (easy when it starts at 9am). My wife is also a KEXP listener and I know she is listening at work right now. She's bragging about having an empty lab and the ability to play KEXP at whatever volume she likes. Could you please play something science related (she's a scientist...) this morning? Thanks, and much love from your friends in Charleston.

Born and raised Seatlteite in NYC now. Manhattan is locked down and scared. THANK YOU for continuing to be on the air, it's a bit of PNW normalcy in my day that I really really really need right now and appreciate. We are not alone!
❤
Also a request: "Pacific Standard Time" by Pete Krebs? It just feels comfortable rn.
Jurado says that while making this album he "...got rid of almost everything I owned. It was almost like I had died, honestly. You know that feeling when someone dies and you have to clear out their apartment or their house? That’s what I did. It was as if I had died, even though I was still living. I donated five of my guitars to a thrift shop.” That impulse extends to the music itself: “I left out certain instruments on purpose,” Jurado writes, “so you’re making space for the listener to fill in their own melodies and parts.”
Released on this day 6-years ago. BTW, congrats to singer Adam Granduciel and his partner (actress) Krysten Ritter who welcome baby boy named Bruce in February.
Mark writes what a strange world we currently live in John. Like many others, I'm working from home for the forseeable future but great to have kexp as company over here in the UK. Best wishes to everyone in the US going through the same as us. Stay safe. Some Idles would be ace.
Hello, John, from Salt Lake City where we just had a forking earthquake!! Could you please play a U2 deep cut while I pick crap up
off the floor?
Thanks, Christie
Happy 8th Sean!

Alison (a healthcare worker) writes, Mr. Richards,
I don't know where you'll take your program this morning. Yet, I have a song request.
Other than when an impromptu dance party, a song I would love to hear on the radio.
And played loudly is:
The Who's "Who Are You"
Just to release some pent up stress.
