Originally written by Arthur Lee, "Five String Serenade" was first released by Arthur Lee & Love in 1992. Mazzy Star then covered and released it in 1993 on the album So Tonight That I Might See.
"Sweet Jane" is a song by American rock band the Velvet Underground. The song was written by Lou Reed, who was often quoted as saying that the Cowboy Junkies' version was his favorite.

The collaborative EP began during Bridges’ 2018 North American tour.
