co-written in terms of lyrics with Saul's Fat White Family bandmate Lias and is one of the oldest of the Insecure Men tracks, with it originating as a track by the Saudis, the band that also featured FWF's keyboard player Nathan.
"I carried that about in my head for about six months before I actually wrote it so maybe that's why it came out so well. The idea was like those number songs like Green Grow the Rushes, O where you have, say, twelve lines each related to the next and an overall theme. It's like a fool-proof combination of lyrics, really, and then the chorus comes in and changes the tempo but holds the whole thing together."

The transplants from NY -> MYC explained about the song : “three figures from a different world taking notes on human normalcy—while it seems trivial, it’s exhilarating for them because they know nothing of it. They’re like a family: clownish, playing games with their subjects of observation. We are playing the roles of these figures, and this is our point of view that hopefully translates when you listen.”
Catch it live in 1984: www.youtube.com
"This song is basically just a celebration of the late great William Onyeabor. I wanted the percussion to be purposefully a bit too loud, maybe by the usual standard. Loads of Onyeabor’s percussion is blaring in the mix, but it makes it sound so live and feely. I wanted to create that feeling of being in the room where the music is being played”.

The song received a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1999--On October 9th, 2004, the Beastie Boys handed out 50 Hi8 video cameras to gung-ho audience members, with the intention of having them record their concert at Madison Square Garden. Although none of these camera operators were trained, they captured the show with love and passion. The result: "Awesome, I F#ckin' Shot That", a concert DVD composed almost entirely of fan footage. To begin the encore, the Boys ran around to the back of the Garden, and performed "Intergalactic" from the upper deck-- www.youtube.com

A band out of Minneapolis, MN : " “My body is filled with melodies and sonic textures, incubating & looping. My father was a club singer before I came around, and I still sing melodies I explored as a child, the big soul music my parents were into.
