New York dance-punk veterans !!! returned a few months ago with the double A-side single “UR Paranoid / Off The Grid.” And as it turns out, that wasn’t a one-off but the opening salvo from a new album called Wallop, their first since 2017’s Shake The Shudder.
Nice as Fuck is the supergroup consisting of Jenny Lewis (from Rilo Kiley), Erika Forster (from Au Revoir Simone), and Tennessee Thomas (from The Like).

Omaha's Tilly and the Wall's name originated from a children's book called Tillie and the Wall, written by Leo Lionni. They are particularly noted for having a tap dancer, Jamie Pressnall, instead of a drummer.
Expanding on the new single, Pixx says, "This song is written about the link between wo/mankind and nature. It is important to recognise how many times women have to face the absurdity of male hierarchy in our modern world. Having had endless conversations with (certain) men who justify the inequality of the sexes by comparing themselves to animals, I thought what better way to help them than to remind those men that they are supposed to be human, with emotional capacity and growth."

“The Cleaner” is a lost acquaintance, one that we’ve spent the last year trying to get to know… tirelessly working and turning up whenever needed. We work for the money to spend our time doing other things. “The Cleaner” imagines the divided work and play structure and thinks about breaking from it.

The Sound were an English post-punk band, formed in South London in 1979 and dissolved in 1988. They were fronted by Adrian Borland, and evolved from his previous band, the Outsiders.

IDLES released their politically-charged sophomore LP, Joy As An Act Of Resistance, last August. That album was just nominated for the 2019 Mercury Prize. "I Dream Guillotine" is the B-Side of the previous single, “Mercedes Marxist,” from back in May.

On June 10th, 1999, a gas pipeline operated by the Olympic Pipeline Company exploded in Bellingham, Washington’s Whatcom Falls Park, injuring eight people and killing three children, aged 10 to 18, who were fishing and playing in the area. Frontman Ben Gibbard describes the scene over a rolling drumbeat and textural guitar, gingerly singing, “Gone, gone” in the chorus as he laments their deaths.“The Olympic Pipeline explosion in 1999 was a tragedy that really affected me while we were living in Bellingham,” Gibbard said in a statement. “After all these years I felt it was worthy of its own folk song.”

Joy Division first recorded "Love Will Tear Us Apart" at Pennine Studios, Oldham, on 8 January 1980, along with the B-side, "These Days". This version was similar to the version the band played live. However, singer Ian Curtis and producer Martin Hannett disliked the results, and the band reconvened at Strawberry Studios, Stockport in March to rerecord it.

The Attractions were an English backing band for the English new wave musician Elvis Costello between 1977 and 1986, and again from 1994 to 1996. They consisted of Steve Nieve, Bruce Thomas, and Pete Thomas. They also released one album as an independent entity, without Costello, in 1980.

When he describes “Bellacoso” as an experiment, though, he doesn’t simply mean an artistic one: Residente first conducted an electroencephalogram (EEG) test on Bad Bunny’s brain — then used his brain waves to inspire the track. Much like the mind of Bad Bunny, says Residente, “this song is all about tempo and rhythm.”
“The brain frequencies, you change them into numbers,” he says.” Then you can change those numbers into sounds, rhythms and patterns.”

Chastity Belt have announced their fourth studio album, Chastity Belt and was co-produced by Jay Som’s Melina Duterte.
The Feelies are an American rock band from Haledon, New Jersey. They formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1992 having released four albums. The band reunited in 2008, and released new albums in 2011 and 2017.
It was first released on their 1967 debut album, The Velvet Underground & Nico.
Black Francis wrote "Here Comes Your Man" when he was just 15, but when he finally recorded it with the Pixies, guitarist Joey Santiago added in some surf guitar and the song took on a whole new power, becoming just about the closest thing the Pixies ever came to a mainstream pop tune.

Common Market is the self-titled debut album from Seattle-based hip-hop duo Common Market consisting of rapper RA Scion and DJ/producer Sabzi. The album was fully produced by Sabzi, who is also a member of another Seattle hip-hop group, Blue Scholars.

Following up on The Destroyer – Part 1 released earlier this year, Toronto’s dark synthpop act TR/ST has announced the second part of the project for this Fall. He has also unveiled the first single off of the 8-track record. Titled “Iris”, the song is described as “a very important moment on the record. swallowing weight of shame, growth of fritillaries, and an ode to an eternal muse”.

Black Marble is an American music project formed in 2012 in Brooklyn, New York. It is led by electronic musician Chris Stewart and formerly featured Ty Kube of Team Robespierre.
