Terrence Stephen McQueen (March 24, 1930 – November 7, 1980) was an American actor. McQueen was nicknamed "The King of Cool", and his antihero persona developed at the height of the counterculture of the 1960s made him a top box-office draw during the 1960s and 1970s.

The song tells the gritty realistic story of a runaway youth, and alternates from the first-person narrative, explaining how his arrival in the big city has not turned out as he expected, to the view of the parents in the chorus, expressing their wish that he would come home.

“The album title is a result of a mishearing,” Aoife says. “Cian Nugent [Aoife’s musical collaborator and co-producer] was telling me about childhood trips he made to Llandudno in Wales, passing through a station called Llandudno Junction… Land of No Junction later became a place in itself. A liminal space – a dark vast landscape to visit in dreams… A place of waiting where I could sit with uncertainty and accept it. Rejecting the distinct and welcoming the uncertain and the unknown.”

Mastersystem were a British rock supergroup composed of two sets of brothers, who were members of the groups Frightened Rabbit, Editors, and Minor Victories.
Rieflin continued to record and tour with Ministry into the mid-'90s, as well as the Revolting Cocks. He was also a regular guest with the industrial collectives Pigface and joined Chris Connelly's solo project. However, Rieflin and Jourgensen fell out during the sessions for Filth Pig, and the partnership with Ministry was ended.
He continued to be a sought-after figure and recorded with KMFDM, the Swans, and Nine Inch Nails. In 1999, Rieflin released his first solo album, Birth of a Giant, featuring contributions for guitar-maestro Robert Fripp. The album was well-received, confirming Rieflin's reputation as one of the most talented drummers of recent years.
The punk-influenced EBM sound pioneered by DAF presaged acid house and techno. After relocating to Berlin in 1986, Delgado-López had a hand in the modern clubbing capital's nascent dance music scene, throwing early house music parties with WestBam and Marc Gubler and launching the techno and house labels Delkom Club Control, BMWW and Sunday Morning.
DAF cofounder Gabi Delgado-López died on Sunday night at the age of 61.
Delgado-López's DAF bandmate Robert Görl posted news of his passing on Instagram. "I found out today that my longtime friend and bandmate Gabi Delgado passed away last night," he wrote.
Delgado-López and Görl have worked together on-and-off since meeting at Ratinger Hof in Düsseldorf in the late '70s. After forming DAF (Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft), the duo would start out on Warning Records and Mute (their Die Kleinen Und Die Bösen LP was Mute's first LP release), before finding success with a trilogy of records for Virgin, Alles Ist Gut, Gold Und Liebe and Für Immer. They'd then split up for the first of many times, Delgado-López and Gabi's contentious creative relationship key to the group's seminal output.

Seattle-based trio, Tres Leches' latest single "Nieve" features electro-cumbia artists Terror/Cactus and was recorded by KEXP's Kevin Suggs. The band described the track as, "an attempt for the group to stay alive once more through music." Norwegian quartet, Pom Poko describe their sound as, "Pure Norwegian Punky Sweetness." They told DIY of their track 'Praise,' “The idea was to have a fast paced tune that was a bit wonky rhythmically, and it kept evolving during our touring in 2019 until it became a regular part of our setlist as ‘Praise’. Lyrically it’s about how you can ‘achieve anything you want’ as long as you have a clear goal, and that you’re expected to always try to be the best version of yourself.”
Formed in 1982, OXZ (pronounced ox-zed) were an all-female Japanese trio from the Kansai region who made moody dark post-punk ahead of their time. While the 80s were an exciting time for music in Japan, it was also a time when women’s rights, though a topic of conversation, were not widely visible in the real world and there were very few women in the underground music scene. Cue Hikko, Mika, and Emiko, aka OXZ, dressed like punks, dyed hair and all, outwardly declaring independence from the usual rules. In a press release about the track, Mike Hadreas said, “A crush can really live on its own, separate from you and the person you are pining for, The fantasy feels like its own world, obsession can turn the person you are longing for in to a monument that has less and less to do with them and more to do with the idea of love itself and what it can do, what it can soothe or quiet or light on fire. I wanted to show that maddening, solitary part of desire but keep the core which is a real warmth and belief that you have something crucial to share with each other.”
