William Edward Ryder-Jones (born 10 August 1983) is an English singer-songwriter, musician, producer and composer from West Kirby, Merseyside. He co-founded the band The Coral, together with James Skelly, Lee Southall, Paul Duffy, and Ian Skelly, playing as their lead guitarist from 1996 until 2008.

Hot Snakes, the band of San Diego rippers that John Reis and Rick Froberg formed after the breakup of post-hardcore titans Drive Like Jehu, are back to making a whole lot of noise. Hot Snakes broke up in 2005 and got back together for live-show purposes in 2011. In 2018, they came back with Jericho Sirens, their first album in 14 years.
Pimienta titled her new album Miss Colombia after watching the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, where host Steve Harvey clumsily awarded the crown to Miss Colombia instead of Miss Philippines. The beauty pageant called to mind much of the anti-black racism she encountered throughout her life in both Colombia and Canada; the album provided her the space to wrestle with the discomfort. “I miss Colombia,” Pimienta said in a 2016 interview in The Fader. “Sometimes I feel like I’m not Colombian anymore. But I know that I’m definitely not Canadian, either.”
