Anders Trentemøller is a Copenhagen-based musician, composer and producer who started in the late 1990s with different indie rock projects. In 2006, following a line of more electronic orientated 12-inch EPs, Trentemøller released his debut album "The Last Resort".
Hezza Fezza is a singer, songwriter, and performer whose work expresses universal vocal and physical experiences from booming sound to birdlike voicescapes. Born in Seattle, this songstress lived, studied and collaborated creatively abroad for 13 years and in 2016 rmoved from Berlin back to the States.
Dev Hynes AKA Blood Orange released his third album "Freetown Sound" in June 2016. The album features collaborations with Empress Of, Nelly Furtado, and this track features guest vocals from Blondie's Debbie Harry
The former part of the band's name comes from the Fujiya brand of record players, while the latter is due to Mr. Miyagi from The Karate Kid
Confidence Man was formed in 2016. The members had met on the Brisbane music scene, and had been in other bands including: The Belligerents, Moses Gunn Collective and The Jungle Giants, and use pseudonyms in Confidence Man. They started writing dance songs together, initially as a "kind of joke", but eventually realised the material was worth pursuing. Planet and Bones provide vocals and dancing while Goodchild and McGuffie, who appear as masked figures, do keys and drumming.
The Dandy Warhols cover of Blondie's 'Call Me' was used as a B-Side to their single 'We Used to Be Friends' and was released in 2003.

Critics generally praised "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" for Hill's presentation of a woman's view on life and love, along with her artistic range. At the 41st Annual Grammy Awards, "The Miseducation..." earned 10 nominations, winning five awards, making Hill the first woman to receive that many nominations and awards in one night. New Ark, however, felt Hill and her record label did not properly credit the group on the album; a lawsuit filed by the group was settled out of court in 2001.

As the band had a clear conception of what they wanted the record to sound like, they opted to produce it themselves. The album was recorded at The Chairworks, Castleford and Elevator Studios, Liverpool. Publicity for the record describes it as the group's "most rampant, most forward moving, bone shaking best."

"Glider" is an EP by My Bloody Valentine, released in April 1990 by Creation Records. The EP was also the group's first release on the Sire Records label in the USA. Containing the lead single "Soon", which featured the first recorded use of frontman Kevin Shields' "glide guitar" technique, the EP peaked at number 2 on the UK Indie Chart and the band toured in summer 1990 to support its release.

Alvvays was formed in Toronto. Molly Rankin, the group's singer-songwriter, is the daughter of John Morris Rankin, a fiddler with the Celtic folk family collective the Rankin Family, who enjoyed international success in the 1990s. Rankin grew up in Judique, Nova Scotia writing music with her neighbour, keyboardist Kerri MacLellan. She later met guitarist and partner Alec O'Hanley at a concert in her teen years. With the help of O'Hanley, Rankin quietly released a solo extended play titled She in 2010. Alvvays was formed the following year, with Rankin assembling MacLellan, O'Hanley, drummer Phil MacIsaac and bassist Brian Murphy to join the group.

2016's "More Rain" is Ward's first solo album since 2012's "A Wasteland Companion", having released "Volume Three" and "Classics" with Zooey Deschanel as She & Him in the interim as well as recording and producing other artists.
The invocation of classic west coast psychedelia that permeates Morgan Delt's Sub Pop debut LP feels like a continuous sunrise, never concealing its influences yet perfectly putting its songs through a gauzy lens that blurs and obscures.

Although the song's lyrics were written by Verve vocalist Richard Ashcroft, its distinctive passage for strings was sampled from the 1965 Andrew Oldham Orchestra symphonic recording of "The Last Time", arranged and written by David Whitaker, inspired by the 1965 Rolling Stones' song of the same title. The Rolling Stones' song was itself strongly inspired by "This May Be the Last Time" from the Staple Singers.
"Weather" is electronic producer Tycho's upcoming fifth album. This will be his first vocal heavy album and considers a collaborative project with Saint Sinner who features vocals on 5 of the album's 8 tracks. "Weather" is set to drop on July 12th!
The song features the same lyrics in two languages, English and French. The English lyrics are sung, whereas the French lyrics are spoken by a female voice. Steve Strange and Ure both claimed to have been the one who came up with the idea for the French vocal in the track. On the finished track, the French vocal was performed by Brigitte Arens, a young student from Luxembourg who was Rusty Egan's girlfriend at the time. On the album, the song is credited to Billy Currie, Chris Payne and Midge Ure.

Comprised of two husband and wife teams, Blushing is an Austin TX based dream pop / shoegaze quartet that originated in the summer of 2015 after Michelle Soto (guitar, vocals) shared her songs with long-time friend and classically trained vocalist Christina Carmona (vocals, bass). Picking up the bass, Carmona helped to fully flesh out tracks and the two incorporated their spouses Jake Soto (drums) and Noe Carmona (guitar). Their debut EP "Tether" was self-released in 2017, followed by their EP "Weak" on Austin Town Hall Records in January of 2018. Gaining infectious momentum, Blushing have since been asked to play official SXSW showcases in 2018 and 2019, Athens PopFest and have shared stages with the likes of La Luz, Snail Mail, Sunflower Bean, BRONCHO and many more.

Adorable formed in September 1990. Prior to that the band was known as The Candy Thieves, and their only record included an early version of "Homeboy" and another song "Underwater" that fitted the then-current baggy trend. The single was released on Trolley Records in 1990. However guitarist Wayne Peters left the band out of frustration with their lack of success and was replaced by Robert Dillam, prompting the name change to Adorable. After recording a 12" of "Sunshine Smile" ("I'll Be Your Saint" and "Breathless" on the B-side) that was pressed up to be released on record producer Pat Collier's 'Money To Burn' record label, the band received a positive review in the NME. However, the single was never released. They signed to Creation Records in 1992, and after a UK tour supporting Curve, they released their first single, a re-recording of "Sunshine Smile", in April of that year.
Black rebel Motorcycle Club was formed in 1998, originally called The Elements. After discovering that another band had the same name, the members changed the name to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, after Marlon Brando's motorcycle gang in the 1953 film The Wild One

Holy Ghost!'s third album "Work" is set to drop on June 21st!
The concept behind "OutRun" follows Kavinsky's backstory of a young man who crashed his Testarossa in 1986 and reappeared in 2006 as a zombie who produces electronic music. Kavinsky cites influences from 1980s video games, television cop shows such as Miami Vice, and the films of Dario Argento.
"Cars" is based on two musical sections: a verse/instrumental break and a bridge. The recording features a conventional rock rhythm section of bass guitar and drums, although the rest of the instruments used are analogue synthesisers, principally the Minimoog (augmenting the song's recognisable bass riff) and the Polymoog keyboard, providing austere synthetic string lines over the bass riff. The bridge section also includes a tambourine part. Numan's vocal part is sung in an almost expressionless, robotic style. There is no "chorus" as such. The song is also instrumental from the 1:30 point until its end.

"Windowlicker" consists of James' voice modulated on computer, mixed with breakbeat snare rushes, drum samples, and mixed choir-like singing, resulting in a smooth yet erratic song with the last minute of the track escalating into an extremely distorted wall of bass. Also included is a sample of a French Canadian voice, saying J'aime faire des croquettes au chien (translating to "I enjoy making dog treats").
