Justice headlines the sold-out Portola Music Festival in San Francisco on Sunday, September 29th, and they'll also perform in Seattle at WAMU Theatre on Wednesday, October 9th.
Justice said, “We wanted this track to sound as if a dark/techno iteration of Justice had found a sample of a disco iteration of Kevin Parker. Kevin has a sense of melody that’s fascinating in the sense that he manages to write melodies that feel both simple and natural, but very peculiar at the same time." - tinyurl.com

"That Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion's back catalog found new life on social media is just another example of how easily they meld pop's past and future -- their songs sound as good in viral posts as they would playing on a soda shop jukebox or in a flying car." Vocalist/guitarist TJ Freda, multi-instrumentalists Jessica Gurewitz and Justin Hrabovsky, drummer Gabe Camarano, and bassist Kallan Campbell are firmly enmeshed in the New York scene as talent buyers, photographers, DJs, audio engineers, art directors and, in the case of Campbell, an owner of the beloved Brooklyn DIY venue Alphaville.
Freda shares, "The whole point of the band was to be in the present moment. Like, not worry about the future, the past. It’s kind of appropriate that we really had to stand still during the pandemic, it just all fell into place. So we try to keep it all on brand to not let anything stress us out." tinyurl.com
According to Harriette Pilbeam (Hatchie), the inspiration for “Nosedive” came unexpectedly. “Although Producer Jorge Elbrecht is more of a night owl than we are, we’d been working on music all day. One night, we decided to go to a couple of goth clubs in his homeland Denver.”
Husband Joe Agius takes up the story. “The club was playing a lot of industrial, new wave, and dance-oriented stuff. We were jumping in and out of rooms all night and hearing many things we hadn’t heard before,” he recalls. “The next day, we decided to lean towards that sound. ‘Nosedive’ came from that.”
“It’s probably our only song we’re ever going to see a mosh pit to. We’ve written a lot of nice, pretty songs but wanted to flip all that on its head with ‘Nosedive’ and make something that would stand out and bring energy to our live sets.”

”You Dropped a Bomb on Me”, is regarded as the defining song, and the brightest moment, for the Gap Band.
For some time now, a rumor has swirled about the real meaning of the song, "You Dropped a Bomb on Me". Listeners who know the origin of the band have long suspected the song may have been written to shed a light on the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921.
The Gap Band's lead singer, Charlie Wilson, said he and his brothers, Ronnie and Robert Wilson, grew up in Tulsa just a few blocks from the Greenwood District, the Black neighborhood that was destroyed in the massacre. Charlie Wilson wrote the song, and said that despite the rumors, the only bomb the song is referring to is one made of love.

When studying Production and Performance at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College, Orme, who records under the name Heartworms, said, “That was a very male-concentrated course...and me being me, I didn’t let it get to me, but none of [my classmates] would let me be in their band, and they would say that I wouldn’t last long on the course. At the end of the two years, I won the college’s Student of the Year award, and I look at it sometimes and cherish it.”
