This is Sunset Rubdown's first new music in 15 years. “The Blood” was inspired by a Portuguese wine named “Tears Of Christ” (Robert Smith changed it to “blood of Christ” using “poetic license”). He said in 1985:
It’s a very cheap Portuguese wine, it’s a very heavy drink that all the workers drink… it’s about 12p a bottle. I was given a bottle of it and I drank it, and I noticed the label, which is the Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus under one arm and a bottle in the other hand. It was completely brilliant. […] I was convinced I was Portuguese, I just sank into this reverie of being a Portuguese flamenco guitarist.

Karen O and Danger Mouse have shared their new single ‘Super Breath’, marking their first new music together since 2019.

Pixies bassist and Breeders singer and guitarist Kim Deal has shared a new solo song. “Coast” was recorded by the late Steve Albini at his famed Chicago studio, Electrical Audio. It’s Deal’s first single for 4AD under her own name.
Joining Kim Deal on “Coast” is her twin sister and guitarist, Kelley Deal, marching band Mucca Pazza, and rhythm section Lindsay Glover and Mando Lopez. Released in 1980, the Roland TR-808 was designed as an alternative to an acoustic drum kit for musicians to record with, but took on a new life in hip-hop, pop, R&B, techno, house and electro, as producers reveled in its defiantly synthetic tones.-
Kraftwerk were early Roland TR-808 adopters. In fact, when percussionist Karl Bartos was interviewed in 2013, he told them that they actually had a pre-production model.
